I disagree that htey are better trained than every before; in fact, I'd say it's very, very clear that training with a view to becoming better at boxing becomes better the further back in time you move (up until a point).

But again, you say this is obvious, you say this is fact, let's have it. Let's hear from the guys who believe that you do who are also serious boxing men. It should just be a google away based upon what you have said.

You are utterly deluded. You live in a dream world. You are trolling, or don't know boxing.

This is complete nonsense. Everyone that knows anything about flyweights knows we have a really deep flyweight era right now. When a division is "hot" there is thread after thread about that division in the GF.

Just pay attention. Look around you. You can learn from what people are telling you if you take the blinkers off.

This is nonsense. I am from the UK. Everyone here knows the HW division is dirt right now, or was a couple of years back. Boxing News, Boxing Monthly, they both understand this is the case.

If you are so ignorant of the situation in the UK, learn from what I am telling you - look into it, at least. You are wrong in what you say.

Don't talk to me as though I am part of some wider movement. I'm not.

And try to understand that if you reject what people tell you because you want to assign them an identity that they don't have, you can't learn from that person. You reject what they say based upon something that isn't true. It is ridiculous (and probably intentional, I don't know).

Disagree; but at the very least you have to understand that you are offering an opinion, backing it up pretty badly, and then insisting it is true. If you're not a troll but you really are trying to get through to people, trust me: you won't get through to anyone that way.

    Where are you from?

I don't understand what you are saying.

So - i've asked you to produce a source to back this obvious truth from any serious boxing man - any serious source at all - who feels as you do about Ali and Louis. And you can't do it.

    But you've also claimed that:

    This means that either

    a) every single serious boxing person is amongst "the hardcore old timers" or

    b) every single serious boxing person is "backing their own worthless cause", lying to deny you or

    c) you're a paranoid weirdo with a self-reinforced fantasy that isn't true for anyone but you.

Yeah, that's accurate though. You're saying that the division was strong? You don't think it's fair to say that Cobb fighting for the Hw title reflects that it is weak?

    Silly.

Yes, but I'm curious as to what you think it proves? Do you think it proves taht this HW division is strong?

You can find newspaper quotes to reinforce almost anything. That's why, on the other matter, i'm asking you about boxing people, not newspapers. But you're having more difficulty there?

Then why the desperate struggle to prove it? Why are you so incapable of producing minor evidence supporting your position when asked for it? Where is your detailed breakdown of film techniques and their improvements? Where are the boxing fraternity quotes supporting your position? Why do you squirm instead of produce when challenged upon them?

    OK Elroy, you've said that:

    You've also said that:

In explaining away the opinion of anyone who disagrees with you, you've said they all either

    a) don't know boxing

    b) are lying.

Here is Freddie Roach on the subject, having been asked to name the best boxers in history regardless of weight:

I like Joe Louis. He was the best textbook fighter in the world. Then there’s Ali, who wasn’t a textbook fighter but probably would have beaten Joe Louis because of his natural ability. Julio César Chávez. And Ruben Olivares who I consider the best Mexican boxer in history. Salvador Sanchez who died tragically and shortened a great career. And Sugar Ray Robinson may have been better than anyone. There are no films of him fighting as a welterweight. But you can guess how good he was at that weight.

So, he has named fighters exclusively from a place called "the past" despite his handling one of the greatest fighters of the modern era.

He names, specifically, Louis and Ali. What I want to know is - does Freddie Roach not know boxing, or is he lying to you?

Traditionally, I am the man arguing that Joe Louis would have kicked Mike Tyson’s ass.

I even invited a friend who was going to meet him, to put that to him!

Tyson’s greatness should not be questioned.

When he destroyed Michael Spinks, he had stolen a lead on both Louis and Ali.

Shame for him that he threw it away!

    It shouldn't take hours.

They have, but not by you.

I've talked to really, really good boxing people who hold similar (if less extreme) opinions, and my position (which I don't think you know, or understand such is your extremism) survived in tact.

Yes, I'm just trying to identify why no serious boxing person I know of agrees with your opinion - it is valid to ask this. If you seem to think extremely differently to every serious boxing opinion in existence, it's reasonable to ask why that is.

    So i'm asking.

No, we haven't. If we have, i've forgotten. If you have a refutation, indulge me and type it again - or copy and paste it.

 no. I just knew who you were talking about from your extremely obvious description.

This is getting kind of embarrassing now...

Are you British? WHy are you trying to pretend people in this country think that the heavyweight division is strong right now? That is very, very misleading of you and not the case at all. Are you from elsewhere?

:rofl no they ****ing do not! That is absolutely outrageous. Look: stop lying, you'll get caught. I know serious sports fans that didn't know there were two of them  They're very famous in Germany and Ukraine, to my knoweldge.

Look, it's the internet. You can't just assume you're only talking to Americans.

It tells me, probably, that you're making it up. Most of that post was made up. So it's likely that this is made up.

But even if it's true, don't you know that you need to do better than "my traier says"? Ii don't know your trainer. Never met him never will. You seem a little unhinged to me; you need to source stuff, not just re-type private conversations you've had if you expect to be taken seriously.
