Klitschko Povetkin Valuev Haye Chagaev Peter Gomez Dimitrenko Ibragimov Ruiz This is literally a list of how I think they matchup h2h, rather than achievement. Peter and Chag are obviously higher on that criteria, but since none of them have done anything worth shouting about I prefer to do it purely on a hypothetical basis.
So you would agree with having Arreola at 10, ahead of Thompson, on the basis that he has a DQ win over Witherspoon, a guy with a padded record himself, while Thompson has several notable wins, over the likes of Krasniqi, Timor Ibragimov, Vaughn Bean, Guinn, could even stretch that and say Yanqui Diaz and Zuri Lawrence aswell.

thompson and chambers are the best Americans. thompson is far better h2h imo. their wins are pretty even. arreola hasnt fought anyone with a pulse and he makes sam peter look like Ali. thompson deserves credit for facing the #1 guy and giving him early trouble and taking a couple of rounds. that's more impressive than any win of Chambers/Arreola
Arreola shouldn't be on any ****ing list. His competition is horrid, he's beat Chazz Witherspoon for christ sake atsch His h2h abilities aren't great with that club fighting style either.
I said I pretty much agree, not fully. Id definatly have Thompson above Arreola, Thompson just fought for a title so he definatly should be above Arreola. Alex Dimitrenko is good, putting Arreola below him is ok. Golota at 10 is good. Id also take Chagaev out cause he wont be in fighting shape til next year.... Actually I read a article that he might not even fight again. But we'll wait and see about that. I just think its kinda lame having Haye in top 5 just ove rhis win over Bonin.
How can you not have Tara Bidenko in the top 30, he was schooling your No.5 rated heavyweight before being careless in the last round, and losing a pts decision to Valuev in your fourth pro fight is not that bad a result. Also Jason Estrada deserves a mention too as he has beaten better fighters than Kevin Johnson has and only has a loss as he was well out of shape against Travis Walker. Lamon Brewster has been inactive for a year and was not even competitive in his rematch with Wlad. How does JD Chapman make the top 30 who is on his resume to warrant this.
Honestly, once we get past the first 4-5 spots, the division so thin right now with inactive/again/losing/unproven fighters that debating who should be ahead of whom is a moot point.
Exactly right. You could take that up to #2 to be honest :-( Which is why I just did who I think can beat who. In retrospect I'll move Povetkin down a bit.
1. W. Klitschko 2. S. Peter 3. R. Chagaev 4. N. Valuev 5. A. Povetkin 6. V. Virchis 7. S. Ibragimov 8. J. Ruiz 9. T. Thompson 10. J. Gomez 11. A. Dimentrenko 12. E. Chambers 13. H. Rahman 14. J. Toney 15. K. Meehan 16. C. Arreola It does get a bit fuzzy after #6 where any one of them can replace the other at a given spot.
