My top 4 are solid, but I had to think quite a bit about the others...we're talking pretty small differences in level between them.

i tell y. he's inactive. he is fighting cans like skelton and trying to set up fights with krasniqi etc... also i am sizing up how each matches up with wlad. like ive said before, he's a one-fisted fighter who has close wins against big, lumbering hws. i thought he lost against virchis too. valuev and peter are harder matchups for wlad.

Technically if you follow the lineage then Peter is THE CHAMP.

After Lewis retired Vitali Klitschko faced Sanders who had just knocked out Wladimir Klitschko. The winner won Lewis`s title, the title then went from Vitali to Rahman who lost it to Maskaev who lost to Peter.

At the time that Vitali won the title Wlad had been ko`d, Byrd held a belt but wasnt considered champ. Vitali was considered THE champ, he held the ring belt and WBC and lineage back to Lewis as well a shaving defeate dthe true WBO champion. Wlad went on to win Byrds belt but since Byrd wasnt considered champ it meant nothing.

The true lineage from Lewis went to Vitali, even many Klitschko fans considered that Vitali actually beat Lewis anyway, Vitali was the man, Peter holds that lineage, that lineage also goes back to Wlads unavenged defeat to Sanders for the WBO title. So technically he holds the true WBO lineage, RING belt lineage as well as the Undisputed WBC title.

Wlads WBO belt only comes from his loss to Brewster for the vacant title.

Now that Vitali is coming back and as the undefeated former champion he is facing Peter next and that will solidify the winner as the true champ along the true lineage from Lewis.

I like this list, looks almost exactly like mine would. I would add Golota to it though, somewhere in the 13-15 range. This would push Haye off the list for now until I see him fight at the weight. I know that seems absurd but I have to see for myself how his speed and reflexes carry over to the weight class before I rank the guy....plus its not official yet

give it up already. the lineage died when lennox retired. someone has to either beat him or unify the belts. If Wlad beat the WBC and WBA titleholders he would re-establish the lineage.

Wlad probably cannot become a linear champ given boxing politics but he can be regarded as undisputed/universal without re-establishing lineage.

He has the best claim to be called champ. Id say 2/3 of esb already recognize him as such. he is the unified champ. he has defeated the best competition and in dominant fashion,etc....

U should do a poll asking people who they think is champ: Wlad or Peter

so u didnt jump on the bandwagon and consider Vitali the champ when he beat Sanders like all the other Klittites did. But if you did then youd need to consider the winner of Peter Vitali as the champ.

Lets see a list of heavyweights that Haye has beaten as a heavyweight to justify ranking him top ten.
