Remember, this is YOUR top 10 P4P, meaning, it doesn't have to be exactly the same as other rankings, but it does have to be modern and not all time.

Trout, Alvarez and Broner being anywhere near that list is just terrible.

    Mine;

    1. Mayweather
    2. Marquez
    3. Donaire
    4. Ward
    5. Martinez
    6. Pacquiao
    7. W. Klitschko
    8. Mares
    9. Bradley
    10. Froch

Pretty much what mine would be like, might swap out Froch though.

    My personal top 10.

    1. Marquez.
    2. Ward.
    3. Mayweather.
    4. Martinez.
    5. Donaire.
    6. W. Kiltschko.
    7. D. Garcia.
    8. Froch.
    9. M. Pacquiao.
    10. V. Klitschko.

Mayweather and Ward haven't been active in my opinion to be awarded top spot. Mayweather beat Marqeuz yeah but since then Marquez has rebounded brilliantly and fought in great fights regular, winning all of them (I include Pacquiao III). Floyd's won some big fights too but again not regularly enough. I agree completely with what Mike Tyson said about it, fighting once a year isn't good enough to prove your the best in my opinion. Hopefully though thanks to this new Showtime deal Floyd fights more often and hopefully Ward can sort his injuries out and do the same.

My list is heavily influenced by recent quality of their wins and performances. Pacquiao definitely beat Bradley but was then KO'ed by Marquez. Hence why he's slipped down. I'm surprised Danny Garcia doesn't get in more people's top 10. He's unified his division and just KO'ed a legend, pretty decent year for him. Way better than what either Broner or Alvarez have done, can't believe some people put them in the top 10.

I only put Froch in there after Viloria got beat at the weekend. There's not a great deal between him and Bradley for me but after that, I think there's a bit of a gap. I wouldn't have a Gamboa or a Dawson in the top 10 personally but I guess it's all subjective.

Just what I expected - "DKSAB No Donaire" "No lower weights" type comments. You have no idea how long it took me to do that list. Hence the reason I've never posted it before, it has to take serious consideration. You cant just draft up a list in 2 minutes. There are a number of variables you need to look at, fighters faced, fighters beat, who the opponents have faced etc etc.

I must of changed it a million and one times before I posted the thread. I couldn't settle, Donaire was in there, because at first I wasn't going to include a Klitschko, because the division is so **** poor. But Donaire is in my notable mentions, if he beats Rigondeaux, he will be in my top 10.

Besides the thread isnt to be critical of others, its your opinion, it doesn't have to please others.

Trout is in and I was gonna stick him above Alvarez, Cotto is better than anyone Alvarez has faced. Cotto was just of the back of fighting Mayweather, so i class that as a big win. Cotto is a good fighter. The most notable Alvarez has faced in recent fights, is Shane Mosley, who is way past his best. But overall, Alvarez has faced better opponents throughout, so he got the nod.

I rate Broner highly, and he has made light work jumping through the weights, beating the best they have to offer. Onwards and upwards for Broner, unless he loses anytime soon.

Garcia beat an absolutely shot to death version of Morales, it's not an impressive win at all. Khan is a good win but this is a guy who arguably lost to Ashley Theophane. Having him in the top 10 is pretty ridiculous IMO since he has no depth to his record at all. If KO'ing a legend, whatever his current state, is that good, surely Danny Green should have been up there when he stopped RJJ?

I personally think Froch can't be in the top 10 after beating Bute and Mack. Sorry.

Carl Froch's best win to date, is still Jean Pascal, and you can throw Abraham in there to.

But lets be honest, he has lost twice, and limped through fights, Dirrell and Glen Johnson most notably. If he beats Kessler, he might be considered.

I like watching his fights, but I dont think he is top 10 p4p.

Yet guys like Alvarez and Broner (apart from DeMarco) do? It's just my opinion but I'd say Garcia's won far bigger fights and achieved more than either of them even though he's only been on the scene about a year.

The Khan KO was better than Broner's win over DeMarco in my opinion and FAR better than anything Saul's ever done providing he doesn't beat Trout.

P4P lists are way too subjective and pointless.

I do think P4P is generally a load of wank but if you're going to do it, do it properly. Having Alvarez, Trout and Danny Garcia in the top 10 is just wrong.

You can't even pull the 'it's subjective' with names like that.

Please tell me how Broner, Trout or Alvarez have wins that in any way match up to the quality of wins against Montiel, Vic, Nishioka. Not to mention that they are backed up by wins over solid World Class fighters like WV2, Mthalane, Tyson Marquez, Sydorenko, Narvaez and Mathebula.

None of their records have anywhere near the breadth and quality of wins that Donaire's does. They don't even match up to Mares who hasn't been at World level as long but who, Morel aside, has been in very tough, 50-50 type matches in every fight.

Sorry but if that's taken you an age to come up with, you've wasted your time.
