The weights I’ve mentioned are what I would consider as the lower weights and I’ve just though because the lower weights don’t get any real credit in the usual rankings that I would say that between minimum/strawweight and super bantamweight what would be your top 10 p4p list? @CST80 @PinoyProdigy id like your opinion on this as you know more than most about the lower weights.

Most boxing fans don't watch the midget weights. It's quite ridiculous how many weight divisions there are down there, every 4lbs, when there is far less fighters in those weight classes too. Being a 'world champion' holds less value in those weight divisions imo cause most countries don't even have fighters that small or don't have ones that have turned pro.

This is enough for now, I'll get the rest later.

This is based on how hard I think they are to beat. I'm holding off crowning Nery and Inoue the kings of their new divisions, until they actually beat the man.

    1. Rey Vargas
    2. Jessie Magdaleno
    3. Luis Nery
    4. Gavin McDonnell
    5. Diego De La Hoya

    7. Julio Ceja
    8. Marlon Tapales

    7. Liborio Solis
    8. Emmanuel Rodriguez
    9. Lee Haskins
    10. Jason Moloney

Actually, in more parts of the world (Asia, Africa, SA) than not they watch more midget weights, to use your term, than any other. Because there are more midget weight people in the world than not. Just because it's not what you see when you look out your window doesn't mean it's not the case.

    1. Wangek
    2. Inoue
    3. Nietes
    4. Estrada
    5. Tanaka
    6. Taguchi
    7. Higa
    8. Tete
    9. Anjacas
    10. Vargas

That's a rough Top 10. First 4 or 5 I feel pretty confident about. After that, you could easily sub in guys like Shiro, for example, and I wouldn't complain.

Well if you are gonna rank the weights, Roman should be toward the very top still. I think a lot of folks are going to sell him short for some reason here.

And wtf is up with Wangek at #8, hahaha. If I'm in debate class, he's the guy I want to argue for being the Pound for Pound King of ALL weight divisions, not just 122 and under. He must have said something hurtful about your mother or something crazy.

And unfortunately, one of my favorite fighters ever and the absurdly underrated Kazuto Ioka retired in January.

I might start using this thread as the official p4p lower weights rankings and keep updating them so I’m gonna put a lot of thought into it and take into account records/ resumes and skill level. I’m gonna upload my original top10 soonish, gotta put some thought into it.
