Tyson is just as easy too outbox - look at him against Tillis, Buster, Holyfield x2 and Lewis.

I have proof Tua is better H2H than Tyson -

    Tyson

best wins - ancient Holmes and light heavywieght Spinks

peak losses - one-shot-wonder journeyman Buster

    non-peak, prime losses - old washed-up Holyfeild

    Tua

best wins - prime John Ruiz (who went 1-1-1 with Holyfield, compare to Tyson going 0-2 with Holyfield) prime Hasim Rahman (who KO'd Lewis in there 1st fight, while Tyson was bullied And destroyed by Lennox in their only fight)

peak losses - peak Ike [i scored it 7-5 for Tua]

non-peak, prime losses - peak Lewis

YOur ranking of Old Foreman Is Waaaaaaaaaay too high. I mean a faded Alex Stewart turned his face to mince meat, was outboxed by Morrison and got a gift over Axel Schulz. Im a big Foreman fan but no way does the old version belong here.

Tyson at 14? You list as went from decent to bad with your placement of those 2.

Jaffay nice list...but Charles over Marciano?

If we compare Charles and Marciano's common opponents (Freddie Beshore, Joe Louis, Jersey Joe Walcott, Archie Moore, Rex Layne, Bernie Reynolds, Harry Kid Matthews)

Marciano's record against these men: 8-0 with 8 knockouts

Charles' record against these men: 10-4 with 4 knockouts

I didn't even take into context Marciano went 2-0 vs Charles

Charles faced most of these men while near his prime. I believe these numbers show Marciano was simply the better heavyweight than Charles. Charles, no doubt, a better fighter all time p4p than Marciano. At heavyweight, Marciano is better.

If it's a h2h list, Tyson should be much higher and Joe Louis should be lower. '87-'88 Tyson who was still trained by Rooney and guided by Jim Jacobs was a pre-programmed Terminator. He was gifted, hungry, well trained and, most important of all, focused. He lost focus when Jacobs died and he morphed into a head hunter after Rooney was fired. That said, only Ali beats prime Tyson.

I agree with your opinion on tyson, except disagree on Louis. Louis was the best. Tyson may be top 3 all time H2H, but Joe is # 1. I see Joe taking out Tyson.

Louis would KO Tyson in 6 rounds.
BUT - do you really see Louis beating Ali??
I say Ali would out-box Louis and get a UD.

Those stats are in favour of Rocky no doubt but I think that Ez is just more verastile and more keen to adapt his boxing to his opponents style. I think that Charles clevernes and counters give him bigger chances to defeat those which I've mentioned on my list while Rocky often went for war and he wasn't tested against big punchers like Bowe, Liston, Foreman or Lennox.

In my regular top 15 (combining h2h, resume, dominance, legacy and intangibles) Marciano is higher than Ezzard:

    1. Ali
    2. Louis
    3. Holmes
    4. Lewis
    5. Marciano
    6. Holyfield
    7. Liston
    8. Tyson
    9. Frazier
    10. Foreman
    11. Johnson
    12. Dempsey
    13. Charles
    14. Bowe
    15. Walcott

when I saw Lewis at #3 I was really hoping you had just mispelled Joe's last name. That's the biggest problem I have with the list. Oh.... and Bowe as high as #5 above Joe Louis at #7 was a head scratcher.

Very Nice List Robert. I think Tunney is too high. A bit unproven at heavyweight. Can't see him breaking top 10. It would actually look a whole lot better if you flip flopped tunney with marciano at 9 and 10. But I love the inclusions of Schmeling and Walcott.
