Mine 1- ali 2- joe louis 3-rocky marciano 4-foreman 5-holmes 6-holyfield 7-frazier(his win over 71 ali puts him here) 8-lewis 9-tyson 10-jack johnson 11-dempsey 12-wladimir 13- sullivan 14-liston 15-patterson
One big win that couldnt be replicated against a fighter who relied on his athleticism(and when that was gone his chin), coming off a long layoff is not enough for me to put him above dempsey and tyson.
Good and justifiable list. A couple of questions. Why is Jack Johnson so low? And why not Jim Jeffries in the top fifteen? I am not disputing you. Just would like to know your thinking.
Jefries career was too short and the decent guys that he fought were basically super mws and lhws. Johnson was very advanced for his era,i like him but i consider better all the guys that i rated above him.he had some defeats that he should not have like haynes of griffin
......again it's one win. Im talking about the body of work and the legacy. Might as well put buster douglas in the top 10 according to your logic. Or oliver mccall
No... they had defeats that they should not have, joe frazier just lost against to the best hw ali( frazier did beat him too),and foreman, stylistical nightmare. Not even close, horrible point.
Excellent list, Combat!!! 1 - Joe Louis 2 - Muhammad Ali 3 - Larry Holmes 4 - Rocky Marciano 5 - Jack Johnson 6 - Mike Tyson 7 - Lennox Lewis 8 - George Foreman 9 - Jack Dempsey 10 - Joe Frazier 11 - Evander Holyfield 12 - Sonny Liston 13 - Wlad Klitschko 14 - James J Jeffries 15 - Ezzard Charles 16 - Floyd Patterson 17 - John L Sullivan 18 - Gene Tunney 19 - Max Schmeling 20 - Jersey Joe Walcott
