Hello boxing fans ! A French on youtube asked Julien Lorcy this question (in the beggin of the 2000's), but he didn't really know how to answer because the division was so competitive at that time.

So, what's your top 20 of Super Featherweight from the decade 1990s to 2000?

So for me, that would be roughly my ranking of the Super Featherweight over this decade.

    1- Azumah Nelson
    2- Floyd Mayweather Jr
    3- Diego Corrales
    4- Acelino Freitas
    5- Joel Casamayor
    6- Jeff Fenech
    7- Arturo Gatti
    8- John John Molina
    9- Genaro Hernandez
    10- Takanori Hatakeyama
    11- Yodsanan 3-K Battery
    12- Anatoly Alexandrov
    13- Julien Lorcy
    14- Yong Soo Choi
    15- Derrick Gainer
    16- Lakva Sim
    17- Jong Kwon Baek
    18- Jimmi Bredahl
    19- Gilberto Serrano
    20- Arnulfo Castillo

I can’t really speak to the bottom half (don’t know enough about some of them and the others I’d be splitting hairs) but apart from maybe swapping John John and Gatti (which is a very minor adjustment and you could talk me into keeping it as is), I’d say 1-10 are spot on.

Great list. Amazing how much entertainment this division provided during that decade.

If I'm going to nitpick, I would say that Fenech really didn't do much in the 90's outside of drawing with Nelson and then losing to him. Does Oscar deserve a mention for nipping a belt over Bredahl?
