Fedor Big Nog Cro Cop I don't think that 1 and 2 are debatable. I gave the 3rd spot to Filipovic because he defeated Barnett, and Barnett defeated Couture. Liddell Wanderlei Shogun Shogun will take my top spot with a couple more wins. Anderson Silva Dan Henderson Sakuraba GSP Matt Hughes Jon Fitch It was hard thinking of a 3rd place welter for me. I think the division is currently the best it has been, and GSP and Fitch are it's 2 best fighters. Penn Winner of Maynard/Edgar III Loser of Maynard/Edgar III Like the welterweight division, the lightweights are better than ever. How many lightweights, in the history of the division, can you say are better than Kenny Florian is right now? Florian is a damn good lightweight, and the 3 guys on my list are better.
HW - Fedor LHWT - Frank Shamrock (tricky one because by today's standards he wouldn't be a LHWT but that's the division he fought at) MW - Anderson Silva WW - George St. Pierre LW - BJ Penn
Cmon SG, Hughes ahead of GSP?? When are you going to put GSP over, 2014?? Hahahaha at people putting Saku over Silva. I love Saku and hate Anderson but I live here on earth.
Let me tell you something - it hurt me immensely to put Hughes ahead of GSP but it all came down to the fact that he's the only man to defeat GSP and BJ Penn and he had that incredible reign at welterweight. It's kind of like Sandy Saddler and Willie Pep. Saddler beat Pep in three out of four fights but Pep is still considered the more accomplished fighter. I do think that GSP can overtake Hughes' legacy but he just hasn't done it yet.

St Pierre has far surpassed Hughes at WW and Couture should NOT be there for Heavyweight. Also I think Shogun should be up there for Lt Heavyweight.
Ok, but GSP is the only guy to defeat both Hughes and BJ, and he took 2 out of 3 from Hughes....also Hughes lost both trilogies to BJ and GSP. And Hughes long run at WW was against opposition far inferior to what GSP is dominating now. There is no basis anymore to put Hughes above GSP. GSP is the more skilled fighter, has done better against common opposition and destroyed hughes in the 2nd and 3rd fights. GSP is GOAT at WW. :deal
