See, Holyfield was a bulked up former undisputed cruiserweight fighting Lewis and Bowe-two very big, natural heavyweights. It's about context with him. The wars he was in took a toll, the natural size disadvantage, fighting with significant health trouble on more than one occasion even in big, big fights. A lot of fighters at this point can claim to have won a title in two weight classes but to be an undefeated and undisputed champ in one, then a four-timer in another is tremendous.

Yeah thanks for recognizing that. I had the feeling no one would mention him. You also see i agree with you on Fenech this guy was just to strong for these guys between Bantam and Feather.

He would beat Morales, Barerra and 122 Pac without a doubt IMO...not many would share that view around here but then again very few of those would have seen a lot of Fenech if anything.

Style wise id pick him over Morales. Im not sure about Barrera. Fenech would be open to alot of Barreras awesome combos,Barrera also had underrated power at JF. Him and Pac would be very intriguing,Pac was a one punch bomber or could this go like Fenech,Payakurun(who was underated) id call this 50/50. I actually like Barreras chances against Fenech the best out of these 3 cause of his counterpunching and brillliant combos he has enough power to put Fenech in check.

I forgot about Vince Phillips. He was thought of as a decent contender who caught a green Tszyu. I totally disagree Phillips at his best was an excellent fighter unfortunatley his vices prevented from being all he could be. He would have done the same thing to Tszyu in his prime. Phillips reminds me of Randall great talents that got lost in the mix somewhere(most of it their fault)

I got no problem someone picking Morales against Fenech, both were warriors and class operators..I just seeing Fenech being that little bit better in his prime.

I have little doubt he would have beaten Pac at 122..different class of fighter at that stage. Pac just didnt have the variety in his shots or overall skills that he would need to deal with someone like Jeff.
Most importantly though Fenech could take a shot at those weights and thats someone you must have against Pac. He also had an underrated defense, like any good elite swarmer he generally slipped inside without taking to much and got the fight so close that few could land consistently with authority on him at such close quarters.
Any higher Pac gets him..feather is close maybe still a slight edge to Fenech there, Pac from the Morales fight vs Fenech from Azumah 1 at 130 is still a good fight for a while but Id put my money on Manny catching him later on... At 135 he gets annihilated.

I tend to think Barerra has a ton of trouble with Fenech...He would have a hard time setting himself to land those combos and I think at times he has shown some vulnerability to guys who swarm him. But again great fight you could argue that one either way to be honest.

Agreed. a 37 year old Vince gave the much bigger Vernon Forrest a much tougher fight than p4p no.1 Mosley. I think Tszyu underestimated Phillips and paid the price. Phillips was coming down from welterweight where he had a few loses and was a decent contender but he was just too small to be a force there. The Vince Phillips of the Tszyu and Ward fights gives hell to anyone at 140.

I've never seen anyone on ESB not rate prime Winky very highly!

In fact, many consider him to be H2H one of the greatest fighters ever.
