Your Top 3 most underated/overrated fighters of the last 25 years?

I don't think anyone Overrates Gattis skill... We all give credit to his heart and determination.

 

I suppose Sven Ottke would come under both

Overated - maybe to the casual fan who is unaware of the gifts he recieved and his undefeated record.

Underated - must be reasonably good as he won 2 world titles, and was german light heavy champ after 8 fights i think

 

How anyone can say Whitaker and Barrera are overated is beyond me. Two legitimate legends of the ring.

I think James Toney is a little underated

 

YES, MORE TECHNICAL THAN FLOYD!!!!!!!

Whitaker had a better jab, better combination punching, better versatility and variety to his game, had a better defence (Mayweather's defence is excellent against the calibre of opponents he has faced, but I don't think lying on the ropes is as effective as Whitaker's defence as Pea's reflexes and defence both inside and out was effective all over the ring, he didn't need to draw people onto the ropes, his defence was proven excellent in all situations. Mayweather's is too, but is slightly less proven IMO).

He is technically superior without a doubt. Someone who throws one punch at a time cannot be considered an elite technician, even if he is very accurate. It is easier to connect with one punch than to connect with a series of punches.
