Personally i think that characters are what make boxing. You need heroes, villains, role models, trash talkers to make everything that much more exciting. Off the top of my head here are 5 that i think are particularly good: The Mayweathers Bernard Hopkins Pacquiao Ricardo Mayorga Carl Froch I wish i could go into more detail about why i find these particular people to be compelling characters but i don't have time. I would love to hear other peoples opinions though. So please post away
Nazeem Hamed, Tyson, Bruno, Don King, Ali Currently Haye is ruffling a few feathers round these parts...
Mike Tyson, his honesty is striking and hilarious "I want to eat his children/I broke my back" Duran, the Robin hood of boxing Ali, great charisma Toney/Mayorga, trash talking at it's finest
Larry Merchant #1 Ivan Drago #2 Gatti #3 Ali #4 Floyd Mayweather Sr. #5 (just cause he makes me feel so good about myself) Cash Flow #6 (8 year old prodigy) If this is supposed to be current fighters, I love watching Gamboa fight (not talk). When is he planning to fight again anyway?
not in any particular order Hamed, Chris Eubank Mike Tyson Muhammad Ali Mayorga Roger Mayweather- hate him or love him, you can't deny the fact he makes you laugh
1. Muhammad Ali 2. Tyson 3. Don King (obviously not as a fan) 4. Zab Judah - think he's an odd interesting character 5. Roy Jones Jr - love the guy when he's on a mad rant (see post match where he beats Griffin) 6. Prince Naseem - love his cockyness and ring entrances 7. Sonny Liston 8. Teddy Atlas 9. Haye (at the moment) 10. Floyd Mayweather
this...^ I watch Froch just to see her lol... Hatton's gotta be on this list, he was def a character, fun as h*ll...
