    5. Jose Napoles vs Aaron Pryor @ 140..I wanna say Napoles will win this but I kind of cant even picture it right now. Not sure the Hawk lets him fight a pace he is comfortable with and one of the biggest punchers ever at the weight against Napoles skin could spell disaster. Extremely interesting matchup for me.

    4. Jeff Fenech vs Fighting Harada @ 122..Intense fight, maybe the weight favours Fenech to much but would be an awesome battle. I think Harada is all around better, I would certainly favour him at 118 but maybe this kind of evens it up a bit.

    3. SRR vs Emile Griffith @ 147 or 154..both were proven at welter and both were proven at middle, I dont know if 154 would be any better but doesnt matter really. SRR just a little to quick and powerful but would be a tough fight for him.

    2. Ruben Olivares vs Wilfredo Gomez @ 122..Gomez by KO in an absolute life shortening war.

    1. Roberto Duran vs Julio Cesar Chavez @ 135..IMO the ultimate matchup at lightweight. Just would be war against two of the best inside fighters to lace them up there. Duran knows to much here, takes a clear but very hard fought decision.

Feel free to critique my matches and picks aswell.

    1. B-Hop - MMH = over 15 rounds a tactical war which would end with both fighters ending up beaten man. It´s not important who wins in this one but the fight itself would be the greatest in mw history.

    2. Walker - Ray Leonard @147 = a bit similar to Duran-Leonard I but Walker closes the show and KOs SRL in the 10th with a bodyshot.

    3. Scholz - Giardello = The tricky, tough southpaw Scholz against the possibly best technician at mw ever would be a tactical fight. Scholz was only defeated two times in his career: one time against Charles Humez in a fight he had to lose to get a shot at Humez Euro mw title which he won by stoppage and once against Harold Johnson in his only worldchampionship fight when he was already past his prime and above his best weight, giving Johnson a tough fight. Their common opponent is Peter Müller who won and lost to Giardello but got beaten three times easily by Scholz. I pick Scholz` southpaw style beeing a bit too tricky for Giardello winning him a close UD.

    4. Griffith - Leonard @147 = Both were very complete fighters and I expect the fight to change from boxing to slugging back to boxing. I think Griffith stepping up his workrate in the championship rounds wins him the fight in a close one.

    5. Duran - Chavez @135 = Duran at his best wins an UD in maybe the best lightweight fight ever. Chavez chin and underrated defence keeps him in the fight but it would be quite evident that he´s not up there with Duran. 10 to 5 rounds for the Panamanian.

Julio Cesar Chavez vs. Roberto Duran @ 135 - a styles clash that would make for an epic fight. **** I just realised this was already mentioned.

    Muhammad Ali vs. Mike Tyson.

Marvin Hagler vs. Sugar Ray Robinson @ 160.

Salvador Sanchez vs. Erik Morales @ 126.

Manny Pacquiao vs. Alexis Arguello @ 130.

It's all about the fireworks. :good

    Here's my 5 for today

    Muhammad Ali vs Joe Louis

Who's the greatest? Superb contrast of styles, Ali's flair and natural genius vs Joe's more methodical but supremely efficient weaponry. Totally different personalities too. One for the ages.

    Ali UD15

    Carlos Monzon vs Bernard Hopkins

One for the thinking fan. A real chessmatch this, between two of the great thinkers and adaptors. Hopkins, more technically perfect but Monzon with pure effectiveness. This bout would ebb and flow as both search for the higher ground. Hopkins would flurry early and take the lead against the slower starting Monzon before Carlos puts forth his own brand of brilliance. The last rounds would decide this.

    Hopkins SD15

Sugar Ray Robinson vs Sugar Ray Leonard

There's enough sugar in this one to contract diabetes just watching! Robinson if anything has underrated speed here, whilst Leonard's true power is often overlooked. I like
Robinson's power and body attack to help him greatly here in a tight tussle.

    SRR UD15

    Roberto Duran vs Henry Armstrong

What an incredible matchup. This would be one of the great fights of all time, guaranteed. Can Duran gain enough breathing space to impose his superior boxing skills? How does Armstrong handle walking into Duran's formidable arsenal of power and accuracy again and again in his attempts to make this a chest to chest affair? Who is definitely the better inside fighter? Will either wilt more than the other in the late rounds due to the frenetic pace?

    I'm not calling this one.

    Sandy Saddler vs Jeff Fenech

Don't believe for a minute Fenech can't match up at this level. Two of the dirtiest fighters going, this bout would be a war. Fenech's intensity and savagery would have Saddler digging deep. Saddler's pure power and ability, despite being tall, to fight on the inside makes him the favourite here.

There's 5 that came into my head today.

    Rocky Marciano v Joe Frazier

    Anyone care to call it?

    Stanley Ketchel v Harry Greb

    An absolute foul-filled war.

Thomas Hearns v Sugar Ray Robinson

    Bombs away!

Wilfredo Gomez v Jeff Fenech (Jnr. Featherweight)

    Predictions?

Brian Mitchell v Azumah Nelson (Jnr. Lightweight)

    Could have happened, but didn't.

Wow..what a fight. Hearns most certainly could outbox SRR for a period of time but it would be like Leonard-HearnsI, possibly earlier I reckon.

Gomez takes it but not to many Id pick over Jeff at 122. It would be war

Azumah-Mitchell...need to think about that one. I do regard Nelson better but 130 was more Mitchell's weight. But then again Nelson was awesome there..I dont know..will sleep on that one for now.

The Robinson-Hearns one comes up every now and again as we know well. I could never pick Tommy to win that one personally, ive always felt this way. Woudl be a tremendous one though.

I think Frazier-Marciano could be amazing, oh my!

All the Hopkins picks would be interesting, so hard to pick the top middles against each other, as they were all so prolific at what THEY did best.

Saddler-Fenech is a war, a war, but i would be picking Sandy by stoppage, you cant go to the monster like that!

    1. Julio Cesar Chavez vs Henry Armstrong at 135lbs
I used to favour Chavez but see it as a closer fight now could go either way.

    2. Roberto Duran vs Ike Williams at 135lbs
    I would favour Duran slightly.

    3. Eder Jofre vs Ruben Olivares at 118lbs
Toss up between the best bantamweights in my opinion. If I had to pick it would be Olivares.

    4. Mickey Walker vs Joe Walcott at 147lbs
Again could go either way I prefer Walcott but what these two guys did seems almost unbelievable today.

    5. Archie Moore vs Michael Spinks at 175lbs
Maybe Moore although I would be confident picking either.

I remember someone (not sure who) posted that they would like to see Whitaker-Mayweather to see Floyd well and truly get schooled once and for all. The post made me very interested in it.

    I know, I know...and at 175, too :p

Incidently, do you think it's okay to pick Roy to beat Ezzard at 160?
