lets put it this way, if calzaghe was a WW im sure he would have fought mosley, mayweather and pac. calzaghe got ducked, did he ever turn down a big payday?

  2. I'd respond, but it'd be like winning a gold in the special olympics - at the end of the day, you're just beating up a bunch of ******s...

Excellent choice. He is the top.

    1. Riddick Bowe- Demanded in the heavy tournament to fight Holyfield first and not Ruddock or Lewis, then gives up the title instead of fighting Lewis. Then fights the most pathetic defenses before fighting Holy again. The worst, almost single handedly ruined the heavyweight division inthe 90's.

    2. Sven Ottke- Wouldn't fight anyobdy worth a damn, and then had the fights pretty much rigged whenever he moved up to B level class.

    3. Dariusz Michalczewski- Gave up title belts to fight lesser comp, wouldn't leave Germany, and wanted no part of Roy Jones.

    those are the big three.

Anyone who unified a division should not ever be considered a ducker. That removes Jones and Hopkins which some people bizarrely have ontheir lists.

I don't have Floyd, becasuse he has fought some great fighters, and the one time I had him getting beat, against Castillo, he went out and fought him again, though he didn't have to and beat him

problem with calzaghe is whats also happening with chad dawson. the division was very weak. apart from hopkins and jones there wasnt anybody else who was that great. reid, eubank, lacy, kessler, hopkins, and bika were all good wins though

you can always tell if it is an american who writes the thread from the first sentence....................

does it not occur to you if a fighter does not choose to fight in america against americans then he is in fact not ducking.
the american can just as easily come to the boxer from the other countrys yard.

(so all american boxers that dont go to fight a european in europe for a belt are ducking??????)
    think about it donut.

When all you do is fight people in an area the same size as a small state here in the US, and avoiding fights for that reason, then yes its ducking.

It's roughly the equivalent of a US fighter refusing to fight outside of New York.

Calzaghe an the Prince were the Champ, why should they leave their country to defend their title?? Very rare an American defends their title overseas

Point is guys like DM and SO only fought in Germany. They didn't tour Europe fighting the best competition out there. They stayed in their back yard and fought lesser competition.

JC and Ottke couldn't even get together, because one wouldn't leave Britain and the other wouldn't leave Germany.

You would have more of a point if they were THE champ. But instead they were just A champ. One of many. And there refusal to leave their area kept them that way for longer than it should have.

amen, the only reason lacy came over was to try and take calz scalp as he knew calz was past prime.and i am so glad he did as it gave calz a star boost and earned him some nice retirement money.

Zsolt Erdei belongs in any discussion on this. Maybe not his fault, but his promoters have made it so he's ducked pretty much anyone with a pulse. Same goes for Omar Narvaez, who's close to setting the record for most flyweight defenses, but still hasn't faced anyone I'd classify as being particularly good.

Amir Khan is the future of the ATD (All Time Duckers) list. Maidana is only the beginning.
