Id say floyd has to take the biscuit at WW though. After he fought hatton at the end of 2007 he had williams, mosley and cotto as well as cheato looking for fights in 2008 and what did he do...... he retired. He retired with a hot division all looking for fights. Then he says he doesnt get the recogintion he deserves.... its a strange one alrite

You have no idea what you are talking about.:patsch

Defending Calzaghe now? Jones resume is far better than Calzaghes, and Roy took Far more risky fights.

Good list, except Bow should be higher. The man ducked two fighters in one tournament. Gave up a belt instead of fighting the best guy out there.

ok, khan is 23 years old and starting to make a name for himself in the USA... would it make good BUSINESS sense for him to fight and lose against maidana?.... NO!!! Goldenboy promotions wouldnt sign a potential future p4p challenger and see him get beaten in his first fight under them!!!

BTW... im a big joe calzaghe fan, as u can tell from my pic, but i agree that staying with frank warren all those years was his biggest mistake. wasted talent!!! thats why im glad khan has moved away from FW!!!:good

People needs to understand what ducking is.

So far most mentions are of boxers cherrypicking not duking.

Sven Ottke ? Bull****. The only guy he did not fight was Joe Calzaghe, because Sauerland wouldn't risk that (he would have most probably lost to a prime Joe). Ottke has one W too many, but he wasn't a ducker since he could outscore anyone at home in his prime once he had the champion bonus. Once he had the all-defense team approach, he was near unbeatable in his prime since noone could score enough to win rounds he didn't give away to rest. Boring yes, bending the rules yes, but ducking (other than Joe), no. Of course unless you consider not going to the US to hand your belt to some american fighter via daylight robbery like Sturm to Oscar "ducking".

So, a guy refusing to call Mayrunner a ducker, but listing all european fighters who had a title since 1897 as "duckers". How surprising.

BTW, Universum should be the definition of a ducker, on most of his title holders. Only the Klitschkos and Dariusz were strong enough to risk them against capable opponents.

Everyone calling Jones a ducker, obviously didn't follow his career like I did....

The Garbage men, Police officer rumor has gone too far....

I ask everyone to name the Garbage men and police officers and nobody has given me a straight answer.

I looked for the interview before Jones' last SMW fight and cant find it, but Roy clearly called out all the SMW contenders, some were offered 6 figure contracts, and wouldn't fight Jones.

Jones gets too much **** for not making those fights happen to people that don't know what the hell they are talking about.

Roy Jones may not have really gone out to make certain fights happen, but I cant think of anyone he "ducked"

Please enlighten me on this subject.

Actually that's not bull****. I know for a fact that Roy actually DID fight a police officer . . . during the time when he was a very prominent figure in the sport, actually p4p #1. If you need the name it's Richard Frazier. Maybe I recall it more cuz he was actually an NYPD officer and I'm from NYC. Let's not pretend, there was a point in time where Roy was fighting bull**** fights and was pricing himself out of the fights we wanted to see. But I still like Roy. He's one of the greatest. Roy was pullin' stunts like playing C-league basketball during the day and then fightin' a bum that same night. Although it was entertaining, it was probably on the shameful side of things.

That is one i was aware of, but people sum up his career with garbage men and police officers.... And they can never name them.
