Also, I just want to remind you that just because Boxrec doesn't have a guy as having a pro record, it doesn't mean he's making his pro debut, especially if he's fighting in a country that doesn't keep good track of that kind of thing (like the countries in Western Africa). In those places, people fight under pseudonyms all the time, and fights aren't reported to anyone because there isn't a national boxing authority. Until a fighter becomes prominent, there's no reason for the folks at Boxrec to dig for a true record.

Alcine ? He is the best fighter at 154..., nobody will denied that..., not even Daniel "I beat Margarito" Santos. :deal !

Alcine is VERY ordinary. Travis Simms aged before our eyes in the fight against him. Without judge intervention, he will lose to the first respectable fighter he faces. Santos will beat him like a Romanian orphan.

Sadly, he's not the worst beltholder at 154. Phillips (who I initially forgot about) takes that honor.

Ain't that the truth. Now would be a perfect time to eliminate 154 altogether and let all the 147s make weight or move up to MW.

Where is the love for Sergey Dzinziruk? I love how Alcine just becomes the best at 154 without considering who else is there. :rofl

Wow, 154 is so weak right now it's ridiculous. Mora, and Phillips are horrible... and Dzinziruk, and Alcine are just "ok". Someone needs to step up and take over that division.

Worst belt holder right now goes to Cassius Baloyi hands down.

yes, Mzonke Fana was the worst beltholder at the time...until he lost it to Baloyi, which isn't a step up in class...lol... perfect opponent for Humberto Soto or Rocky Juarez to fight and scoop up a belt.

As bad as Valero is, he would knock out Baloyi if they fought.

I like the way that Americans on here state that people like Kotelnik are bad champions when they clearly haven't seen them fight.

    Kotelnik is actually very good.
