Just wondering, where do you have Marciano? Considering he dominated your #9 and twice beat your #6 (and Moore and Charles rightfully make most people's top10), was never beaten and only 185 pounds.

You are correct. It was not like the last several years where a lot of your top lightheavies are former middleweights.

The main suprises from you guys have been the including of Ali and Ray Leonard. Maybe I forgot just how good Ray was at his best. Looking back over Ali's bouts in the sixties left me less then impressed in most of them. Great natural gifts in reflexes, hand and foot speed, jaw, but I'd really have to struggle to put him in a top ten list, pound for pound, all time.

    5. Roberto Duran

I might make Duran 7 and move Charles up and bring in Pep at six but currently this is my top six.

Pep...featherweight master, if we could enlarge him to 6"2 215, who could touch him
Duran...Great 135lber, moved up to beat bigger men 168 and win
Henry Armstrong...proved he could beat bigger men
Sam Langford...5"7 tough shorty beat Great Heavys in his era
SRR...just the fact that his record was like 126 2-1 while winning the 147 and 160 lb title say a lot and look at the great fighters he beat
Rocky Marciano...187lbs of relentless power, no one could hit like him and he was under 200lbs, if we could enlarge the Rock to 6'1 and 220(which would not be hard with the size change from the 50's to the present and weight training) Who could beat him? Who could take his relentless power for 12 rounds....curious to see someone try
Archie Moore and Ezzard Charles...both men beat bigger men and dominated the 50's vs bigger men....Charles 175 could not be beat by any of the former L.Heavys even though he never won a title in that class, next to him Moore was the greatest ever at 175 and the greatest to hold the title in that division

If they were bigger, it wouldn't have given them more of an advantage.
