Yeah, but he has literally no career. Stuff like this is what's killing the sport. Putting a guy with no good wins and no name recognition vs a well-liked and respected champion in a division full of people with name recognition fighting each other. Just build the guy up a little at first, how hard is it for the industry to get this stuff?
You mean how the fight won't make the money of Warrington, say? Yeah definitely true and it has WBA written all over it, but as a trade fight, I love it. So not really complaining.
Wood-Lopez is not the mismatch many seem to believe. Wood, unlike many of the UK/Ireland pretenders in recent years (Warrington, Conlan etc), can genuinely hurt you. Lopez, while probably the harder hitter of the two, cannot afford to be quite as reckless/offensive minded against Wood, because the latter can punch with some authority. And I consider Wood the more skilled fighter.
