Stop hijacking the damn thread. All Time 1. Willie Pep 2. Joe Calzaghe 3. Lennox Lewis HM - Joe Frazier Active 1. Bernard Hopkins 2. Juan Manuel Lopez 3. David Haye
It's an unsuccessful hijacking anyway, the thread is still going on fine. I like that you have Calzaghe and Hopkins as two of your favorites too. That's rare.

I'm a rare breed. Their fight is probably my favourite fight to watch as well. I'd never really seen Hopkins beyond small highlights before that fight - and even initally - I wasn't impressed, but it was on the 3rd, 4th, 5th viewing of the fight I saw the subtle movements he was making - checked him out a lot more - started becoming a big big fan. Picked him to destroy Pavlik - first one on my second forum as well. Only as the fight got close - I changed it for Hopkins to stop Pavlik not just destroy him - otherwise - I got it spot on. He's made me a fan for life by doing that. Only time I don't back him is against Joe - split loyalties, but Joe was there first and for longer - for me anyway. Plus I enjoy Joe a little bit more - although Hopkins style is actually very interesting and entertaining for me.
All time... 1. Muhammad Ali 2. Erik Morales 3. Leonard/Duran/Chavez/Pep/Robinson (cant decide between those) Active... 1. Erik Morales (Im an optimist) 2. Floyd Mayweather (love what he does in the ring, learned to block out the rest thru time) 3. Pacquiao/Marquez/Hopkins (all of similar but different quality) :thumbsup
Cool. So many people are so strongly on one side that they basicaly despise the other fighter and his fans. Nice to see someone who is a genuine fan of both. Can't say that I am one of those people though. I respect Calzaghe, probably more than most die hard Hopkins fans, I found a good amount of his fights entertaining, and whatever anyone has to say about Lacy, that performance was just special. Still, I am a die-hard Hopkins fan through and through, always have been since I got into boxing, and it does occassionally skew my view of Joe.
If anyone can beat Floyd without having a size advantage, then stylewise & attribute wise, its Pacquiao, I must admit. One question tho - Are you banking on the lay-off take something from Floyd or do you think you would still pick the current Pacquiao vs Mayweather 4/5 months after the Hatton fight ? :think
:thumbsup B-Hop fans unite! If he was retired, I would have put him inside my top 3 favorite ATG's too. He definitely fits that awesomeizationism term. Nice avatar
As the pioneer of Awesomeizationism, I am 100% behind the move to include B-Hop under this elite and exclusive superavalent umbrella. He is one of the very, very few other fighters I believe is befitting of such a term. His age-defying antics are a prime example of Awesomeizationism.
