- I wouldn't be surprised if Bellew vs. Makabu fight was fixed - People are too harsh on Hamed for losing to Barrera. The fight was fairly close - Pulev gave Wlad a tougher fight that most people realize. Wlad wasn't comfortable in the ring with him.
Floyd Mayweather is gay. And I don't mean this as a diss. It's very obvious that the women around him are just beards. And he's really into looking like a gay dude with his fashion choices. Clenelo is awful in the bedroom or has a really tiny *****. Why else would his then girlfriend cheat on him with a FLYWEIGHT named Archie Solis? Manny Pacquiao is the GOAT. Joshua lost to Ruiz on account of nerves (American debut) and to be clear, I'm neither fan nor hater. He just looked frozen. Pacquiao is P4P King. Inoue is P4P #1.
Inoue sparks out everyone from 118 to 168 with the exception of Loma, GGG and David Benavidez. He still gets this way past prime senior citizen GGG out of there though on a corner retirement at the end of round 10 or 11. There's only one HW in the world who is any good and that's Tyson Fury. Usyk and Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter are both CW Level and godly. David Benavidez is a cross between an absolute gent and a black-eyed psychopathic serial killer and he will beat the soul out Caleb Plant's body and anyone else at 168 who is stupid enough to climb into a ring with him. I see the spirit of the prime evil snarling Duran in his eyes. Clenelo and Dre are ****s
I have to take the opportunity to say, that he's only at #10, given his history and his having just beaten a naturally much bigger, undefeated top welterweight contender (alphabet titlist), is bizarre to me. What's demoted him so much? A loss to Mayweather and a dubious decision loss to a much bigger Horn on away soil? What have Beterbiev, Golovkin or Spence ever done to be rated above him at the present time? Usyk faced and defeated the rated guys at CW with no caveats, so one cannot reasonably argue with him (and The Ring only has him at #5, oddly), but Crawford, Inoue, Loma, Canelo? I'm not saying they shouldn't be there, but I don't think Manny should be lagging way behind those guys in the list. He should be in the thick of them. I think it's so the sport doesn't look so sorry for having a 41 y/o on or near the top of the heap.
Same day weigh-ins is the most needed change in boxing IMO. Not sure about 15-rounders but same day weigh-ins are absolutely necessary. (and I'm 100% sure Canelo, his team and his fans will be against it) And I completely agree on both GGG and Canelo being ridiculously overrated
It's pretty messed up re: Pac. As for Inoue, he was doing some magical things and quite brutally. He advanced to the WBSS finals by dispatching of Payano and Rodriguez in less than 3 rounds combined. Before that, he smoked McDonnell in 1 round. That's 4 rounds, 3 world class opponents, 3 brutal KOs.
I was just saying to someone the other day, that Hamed could do 12 rounds with Barrera, send him back to his corner with a smashed nose (after Barrera got a bit too bold) and win about 3-4 rounds in the state of preparation he was in is huge testament to his talent. Naz blew it in the bigger sense, wasted what he had and settled for a very good career instead of a great one, earnings and global fame aside.
Boxing would be a much more popular sport, and bring in a lot more money, if there was only one world champion per division and world title fights were 15 rounds. History proves this. Tyson Fury impressed the heck out of me in the Wilder rematch. But I wonder if he can maintain that level in the future. Evander Holyfield disappointed me several times. But I now realize that the form he showed against Douglas and Tyson was a result of him being highly motivated for those fights. I don't understand why the sanctioning bodies are given so much credence and power. A fighter shouldn't be allowed to sit on their high ranking. Back in the day inactive fighters fell in the rankings and activity was rewarded. Champions also shouldn't be allowed to sit on their titles. While I like the concept of lineal champions, people like George Foreman (90's reign(, Jack Dempsey, Muhammad Ali (in 68 or so), Michael Spinks, and Tyson Fury should have been stripped of their titles, either for inactivity or not facing worthy contenders. However, title strippings should be taken very seriously and used only as a last resort. Promoters and TV networks should not be allowed to sign fighters to exclusive agreements. This business should be done on a fight-by-fight basis. I applaud guys like Gene Tunney, Rocky Marciano, Lennox Lewis, and Vitali Klitschko for retiring at the right time.
Wilders costume did look pretty heavy. Fully believe fury is a drug cheat and iam quite sceptical about his mental health problems. Billy Joe Saunders has never been sorry for any of his stupid videos and probably still laughs at them. Big John fury definitely took that blokes eye out. Frank Warren knows he’s feeding joe Joyce to Dubois. Every fighters careers are managed to give them any advantage possible. There’s no desire to remove drug cheating from the sport.
Same day weigh ins Bruno beats wlad Haye dropping to his knees against Wlad was a good tactic to stop him leaning all over him and tiring him out
HBO lies about the age of some fighters Pacquiao threw the fourth Marquez fight, because the last one really deserved to give to Marquez but he got robbed, Manny owed him one. Cotto was not himself in the Mayweather fight. He looked nervous and subdued instead of stoic and energetic. Pac-Man and lights out are the two best pound for pounders of their era. Some fighters other brother who is in jail is better than their legitimate brother on the outside in the ring John Ruiz should have used his hurky jerrky style against James toney. Ricardo mayorga- and Artur spiszlka were both club fighters (found in the streets) but Arthur was the better talent. Ahmir Khan never lived up to his potential. David tua is the biggest waste of talent in the heavyweight division Winky wright had the best defence in the game. Not the best blend of offence and defence though, that goes to Mayweather. 2nd best defence was emannual clottey. Floyd fought 25 championship fights out of the 50 he had.which is exactly half-crazy!!!
