All 3 are to blame. Joe Cortez should be made to retire. You can't properly officiate a fight if you are not looking at the fight. If you wanted to talk to somebody outside the ring for whatever reason. Grab Ortiz and deduct the point, then send both of them to a neutral corner and then go talk to whoever you felt the need to talk to and then resume the action.

Ortiz is to blame because he wants to hug and kiss during the middle of a fight. You blatantly fouled floyd and you already kissed him and hugged him once and then you touch gloves while Cortez was deducting a point; why do you need to hug him and kiss him again? If you want to hug and kiss him leave it for after the fight.

Floyd's shot was a cheap shot and we have seen it do it before while a boxer is trying to touch gloves or parlay. (i.e Mosley fight) Yes it is a fight and it is "protect yourself at all times" but their is something called sportsmanship. Just because one guy chooses to do wrong doesn't mean you have to do wrong. You are 10 years older than the guy be the F'ing grown up and professional you claim to be.

 

Cortez is past his prime. he should retire. And I dont watch a fight with Cortez as its ref.

 

If Floyd would have done a leaping headbutt into Ortiz all of you Bitches would be crying for a DQ on Mayweather.

The problem is ESB has Its favorites. If Duran jcc mab or mayorga had done this this would have been seen as badass justified and loved. Pbf does it and its cheap. This was a justifed legit ko win. Did I like it no I wanted to see pbf continue to put on a clinic and continue to break Victor down. But it was a legit ko and Victor got what he deserved for fouling and being stupid.

First of all, Ortiz was an idiot for headbutting. Secondly, it was a cheap but as far as I can tell, clean KO. Thirdly, Cortez is an idiot.

Mayweather was in his rights to do it ,what was ortiz thinking what a clown, 'im going to stick the nut on mayweather then cuddle and kiss him after', Mayweather probably didnt want to get gayed up like that.....

ATG's who seriously believe themselves to be the GOAT don't have to win cheaply, that should be obvious. The second shot, the right hand, was thrown with all the bad intentions and viciousness of which May is capable of. He clearly wanted to end the fight with that shot. If all he wanted was mere retribution for the headbutt he would have left it at the left hook.


The finale was especially dissapointing given the fact that the fight was likely to have been entertaining (at least moreso than Mosley fight) and that Mayweather most likely would have dominated this little child.

I am not looking to blame anyone,Cortez,Mayweather and Ortiz all played an equal part in the shambles that took place on Saturday.

I thought Mayweather was controlling the fight very well and I was very impressed with his right hand leads however in round 4 the tide was just beginning to turn and I still cannot believe Ortiz went for the headbutt when he was just starting to get a foothold in the fight.

Floyd reacted like the classless thug he is and the whole event turned into a farce.

I have always had respect for Floyds boxing skills even though he talks crap and his obsession with Pacquiaos success just makes him look like a complete and utter ****.
