Having access to You Tube changed a lot of my opinions about boxing. Before You Tube, I had always assumed boxing to just be boxing, thinking that a boxer from 100 years ago was like a boxer today. After watching some of the old boxers on You Tube I found that I was wrong. Many of the old boxers lacked boxing skill and fought like "Tough Man" type competitors of today.

I don't consider myself a fan of boxing. I don't care about a boxer's personality, or where a boxer is from. I like the sport and I enjoy seeing boxers fight who are well schooled, I like to watch good technique and skills. I'm glad that more of the world is competing in boxing today and that more top amateurs are getting a chance to turn pro. The sport is improving, even if the popularity of the sport in the U.S. has diminished.

Can I rephrase that to who would you favour in a H2H mythical matchup Toney at the cruiserweight limit (most likely the Jirov fight) vs RJJ from the John Ruiz fight weighing well within the Cruiserweight limit?

It's a pick em fight for me, Roy has the attributes to trouble and frustrate Lights Out but in hindsight we now know that RJJ's chin was fragile and in shape Toney has the skill and speed to land flush at some point on Roy's chin, I'll favor Lights Out for this but I won't argue with anyone who picks Jones.

I just think it's a completely non sensical pick. What makes you think Jones gives Toney the oppurtunity to hit him on the chin? It's a stylistic mismatch. Don't want to come down to hard on you, we're all entitled to our own opinion, but I just don't see where your coming from.

In 1994, Lennox Lewis should have been allowed to continue against McCall, after he was knocked down in the second round.

If norton got his deserved victory against Ali in 1976 then it would be laughable norton as champion being foreman alive on the planet

jealous, envious his hatred for foreman had no limits and said norton would have beaten tyson, said he would have beaten Ali, joe louis, frazier, johnson, marciano and foreman without problems.
no charisma, in few words... a joke

Envy and lack of charisma don't speak to intelligence.

Seems to me he had ring intellect like few others, coupled with a rather remarkable and rare ability to not only hang on to his earnings later but also expand on them in a non-boxing setting, through shrewd business dealings. Sounds kind of smart to me.
