Your upset picks in fantasy matchups

Fair enough. Let me explain some of them.

1) Quarry was a skilled counter puncher when he wanted to be & did good against big men with power (Foster, Lyle & Shavers). Bowe is bigger, stronger & better than these 3. He also had a good jab & inside game. However, he was poor defensively, could be sloppy & was inconsistent. In his best form, I see Quarry pulling off the upset.

2) Cotto has the right style to beat Benitez - come-forward aggressive style with volume punching. Cotto never really struggled with boxers but punchers (Margarito & Pacquiao) & Margarito was because of the plaster in his gloves. Cotto would be to physical for Benitez imo & would grind him to a late hard-fought stoppage.

3) Holyfield struggled with slick boxers - Holmes, Byrd, Toney (although he was past it when facing the latter 2). M Spinks has his number with his awkward style - making the fight ugly, but is effective in ensuring he wins via UD.

The other 2 I'm not fully convinced myself, but I thought that they could potentially pull of the upset as well.

Holyfield ain’t beating Louis
And Foreman thing is wayyy off. Love big George he’s in my top five h2h and favorite fighters but the man lost to very mediocre Young. Some great boxers would find a way.
Otherwise that’s what the threads about I guess lol I have Archie Moore over Holyfield

 

George lost to young because styles make fights. Young was a skilled quick outboxer like Ali. Foreman wiped the floor with practically everyone else in his prime

I don’t see it but it’s pretty plausible George. Foreman was a lot more relentless and aggressive than Wilder and Fury has to cope with that but the big guy keeps surprising me so I won’t poo poo that opinion either.

 

Who wins in your opinion?

 

I don’t know if it’s an upset but I’ve always thought basically any version of prime Frazier up to and including the FOTC beats Tokyo Douglas’s arse.
