The annoying thing is that you know Canelo gets the decision every time. He's like one of those GoT characters with ridiculous plot armour.
I had it 116-113 for Canelo. I had the first round even then Jacobs taking the 6th, 7th, 9th and 10th rounds. He simply didn't do enough in the early rounds and when it looked like he was coming back into it then lost the last 2 rounds. He simply didn't do enough, he looked tired near the end he may very well need to move up in weight.
Didn't like how Canelo allowed Jacob's to appear more competitive in the late rounds prompting people to "give" Jacobs some of those rounds based on how better he looked compared to rounds 1-8.
Canelo. It was looking like a schooling in about 2-3 rounds, but Jacobs evened it up. It was a close but clear win for Canelo. I think his rounds were generally won more convincingly. He looked like Mayweather in some of those rounds. I was really impressed. But he couldn't maintain it. I gotta admit that made me appreciate Floyd more. He could do that for 12 rounds.
Canelo won. Jacobs started slow (he even admitted it in the interview), didn't engage enough for me. He came on in the latter rounds, but I think it was too late by then.
Canelo won (Danny waited too long to impose himself and gave up rounds he didn't need to give up). It proved what I've been saying about Canelo though, that he's not truly conquered the athletic mover style and that a dynamic boxer puncher will still give him the most trouble. And there are at least 3 others in the division ( and one with more power than Jacobs) that have this ability so there's still a lot of danger out there for him.
Maybe when someone out lands him in the power punch department and wins clean punching, defense, rg, and effective aggression he will lose. Canelo's defense is so good that he wins that category making his opponeng lose in effective aggression and clean punching. Its not easy to win when your opponent has excellent defense.
