How good was he i'v seen only 2 of his fights the controversial 1 where he was arguably KO'd twice in a round but was helped to his feet by the ref and the 1st fight against frankie randell the 1 fight where the columbian got jobbed clouds my judgement of him,
he wasn't bad just not great. a hustler sort of style. his left hand was hilarious almost like he was trying to slap you but ****ed up and hit you with his knuckle. reminded me of gianfranco rosi. jack of few trades, master of none.
He didn't have Rosi's cagey craftiness and Hopkins-esque fouling though. Better workrate i guess.Both were awful to watch.
I think he is getting shortchanged.. Yes he looked bad in certain fights and got some help from refs in certain fights.. But he was awkward,Physically strong and a good puncher... Hed whup some good Jws today, depending on what version you got. On his good days he beat some quality fighters like Hiranaka,Olivia,Ramierez and Braizer. Got gifts though in one of the fights with Gonzalez and his bogus td win over Randall.
