...and you want to start your pro career. Where would you head off to? What country? What club? What promoter? Let's assume you are a Middleweight or heavier.

    (I meant non-American, non-British, non-German, non-Mexican, non-Cuban.) e.g. Bulgarian, Argentinian, French, Nigerian...etc,

What weight class though??? I would want to face the best challengers and be where the top guys are at. Usually different Weight classes are more dominant in different parts of the world.

WW definately here. Up till Middleweight here. Super Middle and up i would say Europe. Their big boys can fight over there.
Promoter i would say goldy for here and more than likely Warren for europe.

Thats crap. Its weird how Americans dont want to recognize fighters that fight out of the country as Champions. So your telling me that there is no champions from Super middleweight and up!!??? Most of them are Europeans.

he wants you to say Montreal

He's right in a way, cause in Montreal you can make a career out of fighting nobodies. They protect you very well.

All you have to do is learn french (a couple of well placed sentences like "merci au public, je vous aime" will be enough)... then you can resume your business, i.e. fighting bums and make your whole famility come live with you in Montreal. When they're all there you pull a Leonard Dorin and retire.

Avoid america and Don King specifically if your a foreign to much chance you will get screwed. You will remain inactive if your truly good and/or used to boost the value of the promoters true protégé.

Unless you already have a smaller and thrustwhorty management. Then it the best place to go. Because dispite what most american promoters seem to beleive, even a foreign fighter can be sold in the states and if its done well the public will be very gererous.

Yeah, I agree! I don't think Montreal (Interbox or GYM) is a bad place to start at all!

If I were cuban I would come to the states, sign with Top RAnk and train at Kronk (if they ever get it open that is) under Emanuel Stewart.

If I was British, I would train with Brendan Ingle at the St. Thomas' Boys and Girls Club, in Sheffield England. Unfortunently, I would sign with Frank Warren to get National exposure. But ditch him the second I got big.

If were german I would stay in Germany. Sign with Sauerland, and train under Ulli Wegner in Berlin.

For the none american's it depends, some have obviously been able to be succesful stay where they are from (i.e. Kessler). And some have gone different places. I would come to Canada, sign with InterBox and train under Howard Grant. (but thats mostly because I'm Canadian).

    But no.

Proper champions aren't afraid to come to America to defend their title.

haha I knew you guys were trying to hype Montreal as a launching pad.

Montreal is not a "launching pad" however, its a "stagnating pond"
