So you're a trainer you have a fighter who will listen and execute your gameplan.. what would you devise to beat these guys..and what qualities does your fighter need... Feel free to add other boxers:

    Zaggers :

    Mayweather :

    Danny "Lego head" Garcia:

Current Wlad (I know he's not undefeated):

    Kell Brook:

Add who you like! I'm curious!

Garcia doesn't handle inside pressure so well. He showed against Herrera and Peterson that he can be outhustled once you get inside his power shots, so my gameplan would be come in low and punch high, smother his work.

Wlad you have to jab with him, Pulev showed early on that if you land a strong jab it throws him off, so you'd need to have a tall fighter to do that, beating Wlad is also about getting him on the back foot then firing before he can.

Brook crumbles under pressure, like he showed against Carson Jones, so the gameplan would be similar there. Focus on fitness and physical strength, and outmuscle and outwork him.

Mayweather is an interesting one, Maidana showed that if you feint and draw his counter, you can go straight through him with a right hand. There might be something in that, as he did look visibly hurt. I think Floyd would be vulnerable against tall fighters that can punch over the top of his guard. That said Khan's strategy of out speeding him and simply working on volume isn't a bad strategy either, though of course Floyd would no doubt counter.

I don't think there's anyone in the current WW division who can beat Floyd.

Don't jab with a jabber. And don't hook (up) with a hooker.

    Golden rules of boxing.

Yeah I'm inclined to agree, it's a ******* to say "this gameplan would work" because he just adjusts and nullifies it. A lot of fighters have had SOME success, but none could sustain it. Cotto, Guerrero, Alvarez, Pacquiao, etc., all won rounds.. Maidana and Mosley have hurt him, but none of them have done anything more to follow it...

Wlad has a strong jab, but his jab gets lazy at times and he just paws with it, and I've never seen anybody recently be able to get UNDER his jab, so I do think you have to jab better. Fury might have something there in that he's bigger.

Against kell, its simple.. Secure a fight with him on a non UK soil. That would be the instruction that I would give my fighter.

I know people rag on Porter, but if he did the Maidana game plan (he usually weighs in heavy as **** on fight day) he could do some damage. At this point, Im not so sure anyone beats floyd, but constant pressure has always been huge against him.

I disagree. Porter punches so ****ing wide, and Brook was able to pick him off at times, Floyd would shut Porter down with cleaner, crisper work.

    Danny "lego head" Garcia

easiest to beat of the lot, take away his left hook, and smother him on the inside, his in-fighing isn't great (Herrera)

Slappy Joe- Avoid fighting him in the UK at all costs. 4 slaps in the elbows and the ref is waving it off.

Floyd Mayweather- You have to throw him naked in the dungeon to get him out of his comfort zone.

Lucas Matthyse Sr- knock him out, can't beat him with a decision

Wlad- Avoid Octopus grabs, get a clean punch to his egg shell chin to knock him out. That glass mandible is just begging to get broken again.

Kell Brook- Punch him in the face. Most likely he's hiding grade A British fine China.

Wow, you clearly know boxing very well. This is clearly a well thought out response.

For Wlad, my gameplan would be to rough him up on the inside.

Get the German based fighters out of Germany.

Get the U.S. based fighters out of the U.S.

Recent example, go and watch Wlad Vs Jennings, did he look the same fighter outside Germany? Punch as hard? His stamina as good?

Recently Huck leaves Germany and gets knocked out.

Why do you think the U.S. fighters never really entertain to idea of leaving the security of their homeland?

Don't tell me money, Mayweather would fill Wembley, 80,000 gate easily if he decided to fight in the UK, the fans would come out in force to see him, just like they did when an old past it Tyson come over.

Maybe a decent thread, examples of fighters leaving their home country and looking truly awful.

Jeff Lacy getting ruined by Calzaghe springs to mind.
