Didn't Ronnie Davis used to slap Sr back in the days when he was clowning too much in a rd?

Anyway, i believe it's too late for Jr, he's already made too much money, he only cares about looking tough and mouthing off, not the art of self defense.

I highly doubt he would have been a boxer if his daddy wasn't named Chris Eubank.

Less output. It's not impressive anymore and has highlighted the deficiencies in his overall game.

Calm down....come in behind a jab. Learn to cut off the ring, slow your pace down and use your brain more.

I'd buy Snr a new Peterbilt and send him off to France again. With any luck he'll not come back this time.

Yeah, in his last fight or second from last fight against Carl Thompson (can't remember which) he had a different trainer, and Eubank asked his trainer to give him a slap multiple times, and his trainer obliged. Maybe he missed Ronnie.

Those were 2 great fights actually, very underrated, probably my 2 favourite Eubank fights.

Explain that you cant win fights on pure determination only.. You actually need better techniche and for sure lock his dad in the locker room before and after his fights.. Only see him in between fights and go out to dinner or play golf witht he old man whatever they do. :rolleye:

Bit of a weird tangent, there, to be honest.

I think rebuilding from the ground up of fundamental foot positioning, defence, maintaining a proper guard, building behind a jab and closing down an opponent might help.

Calling you 'daddy' doesn't really enter into it.

But what if you REALLY, REALLY want it more?! According to some fans, boxing is 90% mental, so you don't have to be very good at it at all. Just believe in yourself, and wanting it more as your opponent. Right?! RIGHT?!

I'm not even that convinced he wants it. I think hw wants what comes with it - or what he thinks comes with it anyway. Hence the instagram filtered fantasy world he tries to convince us is his day tl day reality.

Tell him to retire from boxing and take up MMA. Eubank Jr would do quite well in MMA.

Yes, there is that moronic edge to all sports fans - presumably mostly in those that watch, rather than participate.

'Wanting it more' only ever counts if all other things are relatively equal. No amount of wanting it more was going to help Eubank beat Groves on the night.

But *on the night* is the important thing to consider - and probably a major symptom of an entitled modern generation that believes itself *special*.

If Eubank had 'wanted it more' consistently over the last ten years ie. he had wanted it more to the extent of being willing to put in the tens of thousands of hours of monotonous repitition of footwork drills, foot positioning drills, defence drills, working on the jab and head movement - basically actually wanted it more as opposed to merely stating on instagram that he wanted it more, well..... he would have won handsomely on Saturday night.
