.....like all great leaders I don't expect my men to do anything I'm not prepared to do myself so I'll start the ball rolling with a few points. :) :)

    1. Offence- I would introduce him to exotic, previously unheard of things called "straight punches" the jab and the straight right.

    2. Offence/defence:I would introduce him to exotic, previously unused body parts called "feet", and teach him how to use em!

    3. Defence: I would remind him that a high tight guard combined with head movement is not actually illegal in boxing and can actually be beneficial!

There's plenty more but I'll leave that to the resta youse geniuses.....

Tell him to get rid of his daddy.......Take him to one of those boxing lesson classes for children or adults and let him learn how to jab/feint/foot movement I know it may be a knock on his pride but that's what he needs he also needs to attend the classes stay there for at least 6 months this is just stage 1

For sure there’s a lot to be said for being able to punch straight but it’s surprising how many there are who fail to do it.
Odd thing is we’ve seen Eubank use a jab before, just seemed to me that he went into panic mode after only a few rounds.
A good calm corner giving instructions is vital, compare how Abel was with Gassiev and the experienced Golovkin to how Eubanks corner was,to have someone of experience just watch out for you and tell you to stop dropping you’re right hand maybe could be the difference on the night.
Quite simply he needs massive changes with his dad taking a step back as it’s effecting his chances of getting a decent trainer as they’ve got an awful reputation both the father and son with influential guys like Hearn and Warren both saying they’re a nightmare to deal with.

If he can make it safely, he should drop to middleweight.
Most the past and present 168 tower over him.
He is not slick and skill enough to counter the size difference.
I leave the skill and tactical change to the more experience posters here.

Lol seems real harsh this but it’s not outlandish,we’ve seen Eubank go a whole twelve rounds just using his uppercut which is so telegraphed it’s unreal.
I thought he’d improved in his previous fight as that combo leading to the knockout looked amazing only it was against an unmoving target.

Move to a different country away from his distractions . Find a well respected trainer who will work on improving his fundamentals and develop strategies to get close . Have him take ballroom dancing twice a week to improve his footwork ... yes seriously .. it is a good workout and develops balance , rhythm and you have to think ahead while learning , then it becomes automatic and you improvise on the spot as you get better . It really works . And once u get good the chicks won't let you rest . ;)

Took me by surprise when he moved up and even then you kinda thought there was nothing permanent about it.
That tournament was totally set up for Eubank to win, what with the ITV pay Per view thing and as Naz mentioned programs about him buying houses ect, seems like they never figured on him being so outclassed at this level but I guess this is what happens when you only ever fight one type of opponent?

Two things: A jab, and a way of getting close up to people (Eg. Using a high guard to protect yourself against an opponent's jab in order to close in on them)

Those are the most important things. Eubank is clearly amazing up close against fighters, one of the best in world boxing, and has a brilliant uppercut to break through defenses. Eubank would have beaten Groves if he had got up close more often. He'd have roughed up Groves eventually.

Where he failed was the fact he didn't have a jab, which is obviously crucial to have. And then there's the fact he just stood there when he couldn't get near Groves, he didn't know what to do because he wasn't sure how to counter Groves' jab. If he learnt a mobile, high guard defense, he would be able to get close to opponents, and then rough them up and break them down. Only GGG has a chance of going to war with Eubank Jr up close. Everyone else would get demolished.

The new trainer would play to Eubank's strength, which is up close as mentioned.

Good point, you can see in his training vids that he only ever seems to work on punching things up close.
That jab of Golovkins made him a millionaire and has won him fights,we didn’t see all his tricks v Canelo which I thought was disappointing as he’s shown some cute tricks in the past, that touch jab thing he does that Gassiev started doing is class.

Eubank Jr has two losses--not the end of the world, plenty of great fighters have many more--but he needs to learn from those two defeats

as of now, he's denied himself this opportunity, because he genuinely doesn't think he lost either of those fights

you lose a golden opportunity to improve when you're in denial about a loss

it's one thing when a fighter gets robbed on the cards, but that's not the case in either of his two losses; if anything, it seems he got very favorable treatment by the ref (i saw two knockdowns that the ref ignored) and the judges (scores were far closer they justified, even disregarding the missed KDs)

i've heard the stories that he was back in the gym the day after losing to Groves, but so what. He's always been a workout warrior from what i've heard; what i'm talking about is

A great trainer does more than say don`t drop the right hand! Look what Steward did for Lewis, turned his whole career around, Lewis was giving Wilder a lesson on how to use the jab on a vid, he extended his lead hand constantly so the jab which is the easiest punch to land because it`s harder to see coming was held by Lewis nearer his opponent so as he flicked it you couldn`t see it coming, so that because Lewis`s style because of his reach, the 1-2 a straight right would often follow which Steward taught into Lewis after his loss to McCall because of his wild right, just straighten it, he told him this during the Holy fight, if you straighten the right you win this fight, he did and went on to dominate, he told Hamed against Barrera punch in combo`s don`t load up on one punch but Naz didn`t listen and lost, Eubank Sr mentioned this after Jr`s fight he should have thrown combo`s instead of loading up on one shot and practise this against good sparring partners, Eubank`s sparring for this fight was awful , I don`t even know what he was practising!
