Those great fighters that lost never looked this bad unless they were out of shape, Eubank knows nothing about boxing, this is how Tyson looked against Douglas after he sacked Rooney and he never got back to his past level, Eubank was awful and completely exposed!

Eubank would never be able to beat Groves. He should consider himself fortunate he was not knocked out. The only person who did any roughing up when the fight was inside was Groves roughing up Eubank with inside skills and superior physical strength.

His movement`s too bad! I overheard someone at the gym yesterday say Loma`s father made him take two years off as a youngster to study ballet to improve his movement I think Eubank should do something like that (Ali learned Ballet also) but at 28 I think it`s too late, it takes years to become a good fighter.

Forgot that about the Ref,touched down twice and to be sure Groves was onto it as you could see him pleading with the Ref.
Sounds like Broner another one who won’t admit he’s been beat,no point carrying on until he can accept defeat.

I wouldn't change much at this stage tbh. I,d get a top nutritionist in tho and get him straight back down to middleweight. He will still bully fighters down there. And see if they can get that right arm fixed.

Your limited in terms of coaching him with having no straight right hand. I,d work on speeding up the footwork. Its pretty crap his footwork...but what can you do...with no straight right hand. I can't think of much footwork that would work without that straight right. Even ingles footwork....kind of needs that straight right. Same with booths. Without a straight right theirs no point having a jab off with people either. Your putting yourself in a position they can hit you with their straight right...when you can,t. I still say most of his problems comes from not having that straight right hand. Jabbing your way in without a straight rights likely to get you countered by their straight right etc. That straight right is also a good shout for closing that mid level distance. Jab. Jab. Right hand to close that mid gap...then your in. Without it the hook and uppercut will always come from too far out.

The truth is eubank can't really change without that straight right hand.

Pretty sure he was actually feignting at the weekend. But what is he feighnting....a pretty weak jab. Or a hook/uppercut from too far out. That's pretty much his options. It becomes a bit of a token feignt.

I,d just get him back to middleweight. Keep his relentless training up. Speed up his footwork. Get the bodybag out a,la hatton. He needs to concentrate on trying to bully opponents with his strength. Workrate. Stamina. Etc. Pretty much what he's doing really. I still think he gets success at middleweight...just never gonna be at the top of the tree. The right hands too debilitating anyway. They really need to look into getting it fixed without that hes always gonna be at a massive disadvantage.

I would take up heavy drinking and maybe cocaine. With Junior's ego and his father constantly involved, it will be close to impossible to accomplish anything and, if you took the gig with an eye on the paycheck, you would hate yourself for a long time.

There is quite a lot to change in an ideal world but he is nearly 29 and I don't believe he can fight that much differently so..

I would teach him how to cut off a ring and start attacks from different angles I think that would improve him a lot and almost instantly.

He followed Groves around and then just lunged in, all straight lines and that's why he was easily countered or hit with the jab.

First thing I do is tell him 168 is off limits. He doesnt have the style or the talent to compete at 168. No shame in that there are some fighters just meant for one division.

So get back to 160... then just work on closing the gap better, perfect the jab, improve his infighting, ect.

Eubank isnt going to turn into some technical whiz that boxes from the outside... and honestly I dont really think he has the talent to be succesful with that. But what he can be is an in your face non stop mauler (at 160) but there are levels to it... and I would just work on trying to enhance that and vastly improve his in fighting and jab.

Work on distance control with the jab and teaching him what a half step is.
