Mayweathers comment to Ricky after Round 1, says it all really, Ricky looked like he'd never tried jabbing and putting his hands up in his life :patsch

its clear that hatton went out there fighting a different fight to what his head trainer wanted.

    absolutely.

ricky's only defense last night was if he got stunned more than we realise he did because (even though he had the right attitude about going after pac early and seeing if he could impose himself), he had no idea what to do once he got into trouble.

horrific defense at best, and i don't mean taking shots early - they both decided to test the waters there. but once things started swinging pac's way hatton remained an open target even when his offence fell away.

    it made pac look better.

It's the way he knows how to fight. Floyd senior could train me all he wants and I would still never be able to fight like he wants me to. That is why I think that he is over rated as a trainer. he only knows one way to do things.

That right there is exactly what Hatton should have done and he would have had a small chance to win the fight. He was trying couple straight hand leads but when they didnt work he went back to clinching and mauling tactics.

Snr. gave him solid advice, and I thought they would utilize the jab like they said in 24/7. He kept getting caught with the same shot, but he couldn't adapt. Bad performance by Ricky.

    Thank you.

And how do you "blame" a trainer you didn't listen to?
