Youtube: Which Fighters Has It Been Kind To, & Vice Versa?

well on the youtube footage i see of saddler-pep on youtube, i see pep outboxing saddler well ahead on the cards outboxing him at every area(except saddler gets to him knocks him down once) but these fights are controversial to me. Pep was giving him a boxing lesson. I wouldnt say these fights do him bad justice.

 

Kind to Manny Pacquiao. Videos everywhere of him knocking down Marquez three times in the first round, but the rest of the 11 rounds where he was dominated are nowhere to be seen.

 

He was schooled , i need to the rematch badly. I hear Marquez was robbed again

 

I wouldnt say robbed thought he deserved it though

 

Pacman knocked him down 3 times in the first( the ref could have stopped it too after 3rd kd)..........thats a 10-6 round. Pacman won around 4 of the next 11 rounds with Marquez taking 7. Do the math, pacman still wins the fight by one point. Even if you are give pacman only 3 of the last 11 rounds, the fight still translates into a draw.

 

I personally think pacman won both fights, but I'm not gonna argue about it, both were very close.

I think youtube is great for fight fans, I've seen loads of fights I'd probably never have seen if they weren't on there.

One guy who its been kind to is Earnie Shavers. It's easy to go there and see tons of Shavers and his KO power making him look 10x better than what he is (although I think he was a good fighter in his day).

 

Except for the small fact that he flat out quit in the third fight, which seems to be such a huge problem with you, yet you rate him #1 all time P4P.

But I agree with the thread, which is why I try to not to make full analysis and opinions about fighters unless I'm sure I've seen them at their best. Though I will give my opinions on their styles and careers.

You know i dont differ between the two, just a choice of words, but in my own usage of the term 'robbed' - if i believe someone has put themselves through what it takes to win (especially a championship) bout, and they deserve the decision (no matter how close), then he has been 'robbed' if he doesnt get the w.

And imo (which is just mine), the man deserved the w clearly, he schooled Pac at times which far outweighed the first brutal round over the long-haul imo.

 

What film of pep have you seen in his prime? You seem to really pick at straws everytime pep is mentioned always brining up the saddler or angott fights. Makes me wonder.......

He quit on his stool because he got his shoulder dislocated by saddlers cheap dirty tactics. It should have been a DQ win for Pep. In the 4th fight Sandy nearly took out Willie Peps eye with his thumbing and gouging.

 

I've seen all the footage available online, though I plan on seeing more soon.

Two points

A. Vitali had 2 rounds to go vs a Feather Fisted Cruiserweight. Pep had another 7 rounds to go against one of the greatest punchers in featherweight history.

B. Pep got his shoulder dislocated from cheap dirty tactics. How did Vitali get his shoulder injured? from missing bryd?
