Yunieski Gonzalez is a 29 year old about 6'1 Light Heavyweight with a 15-1 11 KO's record. Born in Piñar del Rio, Cuba and fighting out of wait for it.... Miami, Florida, no shock there, he immigrated to the states to provide for his son and parents still living in Cuba. He's a hard punching kind of sloppy former amateur who is fun to watch but I have a feeling he won't get too far against the likes of Kovalev and Beterbiev, hopefully he's not packing glass like many of his fellow countrymen, because if he is he won't last long in this stacked division. His style is fairly fun he leaps in a lot with overhand rights and he may be a brutal KO waiting to happen, however he does hit pretty hard so he always has a puncher's chance to pull off a victory. Thankfully he is an exciting fighter from Cuba for a change eschewing the dull mind numbing amateur style and going for a little more action. So Check Out El Diamante The Cuban Head Smasher.:toney:toney:toney:toney

Very interested to see this. I fully expect Pascal to win but if Gonzalez is remotely competitive with him this early on in such a big step up it bodes well for his future.

    Great Job

I told you all Yunieski was a beast yet this was one of my most ignored threads. Finally a enjoyable to watch Cuban who doesn't have a glass jaw.:deal

The scorecards weren't atrocious it was close but he acquitted himself beautifully.:good

He landed his best shots on Pascal and couldn't really hurt him. Pascal showed that it's easy to land punches on Gonzalez. Kovalev has already knocked out Pascal and would knock Gonzalez out. Kovalev hits much harder that Pascal.......................
