Wasn't a knockdown via bodyshot not called for Pascal? :huh

Ive seen very little of both, but from what Ive seen I have to pick Gonzalez, most likely by KO.

Gonzalez just went to war with a top 5 LHW, and Shabranskyy was dropped twice against a club fighter who was brought in to be beaten

Just a little counter to Limerickbox's comment. I have seen a lot of both. And Shabranskyy dropped several times ad stopped Garret Wilson something a Heavyweight in Glazkov, a Cruiserweight in Mchunu and more recely another heavy handed Cruiserweight/former Heavyweight in Keith Tapia were incapable of doing, yet Slava a Light Heavy did with ease.

And the so called club fighter was an unproven commodity with no losses on his record.

I've seen just about every Shabranskyy fight and only a handful of Gonzalez's fights, Shab reminds me a bit of Fonfara, and to me doesn't look like he can take a punch, which his last fight proved, but has a good sense of distance and can punch himself

Gonzalez's fights are hard to find, but his record prior to Pascal Isnt that impressive. He's got a bunch of kos over guys with losing records, also boxrec indicates be was dropped by Jinner Guerrero in the first round, and had a close md win over some dude with a losing record.

With that said, Yunieski seems to be peaking and looked sensational against Pascal, while Shabranskyy was nearly destroyed early in his last fight, so I have to go with Gonzalez.

Don't you think that maybe The excess weight cut had something to do with Wilson being stopped?

Well he had no amateur record to speak of, was 30 and has been fighting club fights.

Its pretty clear he's never going to be in the league of Pascal

Not really, he was 193 against Mchunu and 20 against Glazkov who outweighed him by 20 pounds. He usually floats around the 180 to 156 range.

The fight against Slava he was 178 not within the LHW limit.

You have to favour Gonzalez purely on the strength of their last performances but Shabranskky ain't no mug and he can bang himself. He also had an extensive amateur career, kickboxing and boxing, and whilst I'm not familiar with his amateur career, I do know that he holds a 12-4 victory over Julio Cesar La Cruz Peraza who is a 3 x gold medalist in the world amateur championships and is considered the best amateur in the world right now. Shabranskky also holds a victory over Olympic silver medalist Kenny Egan, too.

Olympic bronze medalist Olexandr Gvozdyk beat him 12:3 in the Ukrainian national championships and world amateur silver medalist Ismayl Sillakh also holds an amateur win over him, beating him on a retirement.

He also fought in the WSB for a couple of seasons too. I can't find his record on the stupid WSB site and the Strefa boxing site doesn't seem to be working properly so I can't see it on there either. He won all of his bouts in it that are on Youtube though.

    His bio

340 amatuer fights in both boxing and kickboxing

2 time World Champion in Kickboxing

    Record: 13-0-0, 11 KOs

Born on May 1, 1987, in Korostishev,Ukraine Vyacheslav Shabranskyy started kickboxing at the age of 13 and went on to win over 30 tournaments in 2 years, where he always came in first place .He was extremely dedicated to the sport and remained undefeated. He holds international and national titles and has earned his master of sports in kickboxing in 2003 after winning 1st place in the World Tournament in Greece in Kos Hellas. He also finished in 1st place at the European Championship in Hungary in 2003. In 2004 he once again became a world champion, in Korfu, Greece.

He earned international recognition as master of sports in kickboxing in 2005. Vyacheslav was first introduced to boxing at the age of 16 by his former kickboxing trainer, who felt he was capable of mastering the sport. His first sparring with local Ukranian champion ended by a knock out in the first round. He was immediately offered an opportunity to go to the national tournament, to which he agreed. The tournament took place in the city of Berdichev, Ukraine. He fought at 81 kg and earned his first gold medal in boxing . After that he competed in a few international tournaments, and started gaining popularity very quickly.
In 2004-2005 he competed in Junior division and have successfully earned first places and gold medals. In 2006 at the age of 18 he competed in Ukraine Championship in Odessa and earned 3rd place. His achievement in 2006 also included his award to recognition of master of sports in boxing. In 2007, Ukraine held “Absolute Ukraine Championship, The tournament of the best boxers in the nation”- He took 1st place and took the gold home once again.

In 2008-2009 he earned 2nd place in the same tournament. In 2010 he was offered to go to Kazakhstan where he ended up competing against Yerkebulan Shunaliev, who won bronze in the 2008 Olympics. He won 9:1. In 2010 AIBA formed WSB and numerous boxers were invited to try out for the team. This is how Vyacheslav ended up on LA Matadors in 2010 and stayed with them for 2 seasons until February 2012.His total amateur record consists of over 150 fights in kickboxing and over 140 in boxing.

In July of 2012 Slava came back To America . In August of he same year him and his wife Dina got married with whom they have a wonderful baby girl Amelia . They are also expecting a baby boy this coming September. Vyacheslav was looking for an opportunity to turn pro . His former La Matador trainer Manuel Robles agreed to train him out of Rock Boxing Gym in Carson, He was also introduced to Steven Bash who is known to do multiple boxing events in Hollywood and who gave Slava his first opportunity.

His debut was scheduled for September 20, 2012 and turned out extremely well. His opponent was taken out in a stretcher in the first round . After the fight a boxing manager Evrati Avrahami who was in the crowd, approached Steven Bash. Slava and Evi were introduced few days after the fight and until today he remains his manager and a good friend.

In May of 2014 the Annual Sugar Ray Leonard Charitable Boxing Event took place. Shabranskyy was one of the three fighters at the show and after that match ended in 23 seconds, the biggest opportunity of his career came along. Oscar De La Hoya was in the 2nd row and saw his fight. On June 10th, 2014, Slava was signed with Golden Boy Family who remains his promoter until today.

With the signing came new opportunities. He was able to get a taste of bigger shows and had an experience to spar with one some of the best boxers , Bernard Hopkins , Jean pascal , Eleider Alvarez, Zurdo Ramirez and others ...

2014 ended with a win on November 8th.

In January 2015 he went up against Garret Wilson in MGM Las Vegas, Nevada, and was able to score a 9th round stoppage. Hard work, blood, sweat and an unbelievably strong desire to move up and go forward to get that win, lives in every dedicated fighter. That hard work paid off on March 12 , 2015, when Vyacheslav Shabranskyy won his first title fight and was crowned with the USNBC Light Heavyweight Champion. His plans are to go forward, move up, and eventually fight for a world title.
