I like this one. Good match up, X. I think Yuri takes it, too surgical here for the brasher Argentinean. I imagine he'll walk Laciar onto shots for most of the night, but Arbachakov was no Sweet Pea, and would probably get hit himself. Santos was an iron Man, he ain't getting stopped.
Most likely a close fight but I'd probably favour Laciar as well if he got his approach right and kept the pressure on with enough finesse to force Arbachakov to fight at an uncomfortable pace without being able to catch him on the way in too easily. Laciar the more seasoned against high quality opponents too, with better wins to make me feel justified in picking him. Arbachakov would really have to get off the pot and keep uncorking his awesome but much underused left hook without falling into the just enough to win mindset that seemed prevalent after him winning the title, though if we're taking the version of the Kittikasem fights where he was at or near his best......like I say, a close fight. It feels disrespectful to pick against Laciar though.
Bump. Awesome match up. Arbachakov has the power and accuracy while Laciar has unrelenting pressure and cute defense. I think Laciar's come forward style gives Arbachakov more opportunities for his accurate punches but it would be highly competitive. I favor Arbachakov to narrowly beat Laciar by decision.
