From B-Scene. Murray Wilson, manager of WBA Jr. Middleweight campion Yuri Foreman says his fighter is very interested in a fight with Miguel Cotto next June. Top Rank promotes both fighters and one of the leading possable options for Cotto's return is a jump up to 154-lbs for a title fight with Foreman. Wilson said Foreman, a New York native has no problem with a Cotto clash in MSG on the eve of the Pureto Rican Day Parade. The fight could have a revenge factor. Foreman bead Cotto's good friend, fellow Puerto Rican Daniel Santos, for the title. Foreman is being considered for a spot on the Mayweather/Pacquiao undercard on March 13 but says he would rather take a fight with Cotto in June. It's a fight that both Yuri and Miguel want, Wilson said to Primera Hora. It would be a good chance for Miguel to become a World Champion again and it would be great exposure for Yuri. We prefure to wait untill June to fight Cotto insted of fighting in March. A fight against Miguel in New York would be ideal for both. Yuri has a good fanbase in Brooklyn so were very interested.
anything that keeps Foreman off the Pac-PBF undercard, I'm all for it. Lets have a quality undercard for once.
Perfect fight for Cotto. One that can give him some accolade, even if its a paperbelt IMO. Cotto By KTFO!!
Persnnally I think Cotto should fight Jan Zaveck, the new IBF Welterweight title holder. But this is a good match for him too.
