Yuri Foreman vs Miguel Cotto, who will win?

i've got a feeling that Foreman will frustrate Cotto and force him to retire on his stool in about round 10/11.

 

Cotto loses his biggest stengths at light middle
if he is smart and has worked on speed
then he may have a second/third career
if he tries to pressure he won't last
thats said unless steward has ****ed him up
Cotto should take this on points

 

I think Cotto is still just a bit too classy for Foreman, even if he is giving away a bit physically.

Comfortable enough points win for Cotto I would say.

 

I love Miguel Cotto and I was devestated as I watched him being beaten up against Margacheato and Pacquaio but I wish he would retire.

I seriously believe that Cotto didn't want to fight at 154 but has been forced into it by a series of circumstances. Therefore I believe that his head and heart won't be there tomorrow night and Foreman gets another name on his record that doesn't belong there.

A rejuvenated Cotto will put on one of the best performances of his career.

 

Cotto by points, then we might see Cotto rematch Pacquiao, if Mayweather wont fight him.

 

I think even a shot to **** Cotto beats Foreman.

 

I'm leaning to Foreman points now, I don't think Cotto's heart is in it anymore and this'll just be a payday.

 

I have a serious problem picking this time out. First, I think Foreman is being massively overrated based on his victory against Santos. Santos, a very good fighter, was inactive, looked flabby, and his timing and punching was clearly off. It’s hard to give Foreman too much credit for beating what appeared to be a fighter who had clearly slipped.

But, the issue for me is that Foreman’s lateral movement will cause Cotto problems. This will make the early rounds incredibly boring as Yuri gets on his bike and tries to keep Cotto at the end of his jab. But I see Cotto, with Steward’s encouragement, pushing forwards with his own jab and stepping to the side as Foreman tried to counter. If he can get to the body at this stage, I see Foreman struggling in the middle rounds, and Cotto catching him more and more for a late TKO win.

Foreman though, can use his handspeed and movement to catch the Puerto Rican on his way in, probably cutting Miguel. If Miguel gets discouraged or goes into his own back-pedalling safety first, I see him losing a wide UD. Foreman will do nothing flashy and will want to confound Cotto where possible, without taking any risks.

This is a really close fight, made interesting by Foreman’s movement and Cotto’s superior boxing skills. I have the sense that Cotto will catch up to Foreman late on and punish the Rumbling Rabbi for a hard won TKO victory. But this is, by no means, a safe pick.

 

I cannot believe that any of you knowledgeable guys are picking a donkey like Foreman....he is dire.

Cotto by stoppage in a surprisingly one-sided fight.

 

Santos was in an absolutely pathetic state in the Foreman fight, didnt even resemble the Santos from the Alcine fight. Cotto will need to be moving well and closing Foreman down quickly. I expect Cotto can get close enough to Foreman and cause enough damage to take a PTS victory.

I reckon it'll be a pretty crap fight to be fair. Cotto is done at the very top level but he'll get past Yuri.
