Yuri Gamboa should have never left top rank. I dont know why he turned down 1.1 million to fight Brandon Rios. He first signed with some german promoter when he turned pro, then top rank, then sms promotions, then some Spanish promoter and now Golden boy. Im not sure if he is with Golden boy anymore. The only fight where he can make some money is Juan Manuel Lopez. Top rank wont give him Loma.

So as Rigondeaux. Left TR, yet Donaire and Loma were still his two biggest fights, most probably.
Now with "the best promoter to stay active", but I'm still waiting for his next fight to materialize... Well, maybe he'll fight someone on the undercard for $20k as Ortiz just did...

Gamboa was a great talent but somehow wasted due to his lifestyle. And apparently his boxing quality didn't improve much. He still (stupidly) lower his hands most of the time and basically crap in defense.
