    Endorsements my man, most UFC fighters for example get paid less than 200,000 for each fight but can make a lot more endorsing products.

    Generally celebs get paid to go around and do things, do high level interviews and what not. Think of a huge amatuer star as a big sporting celebrity and imagine the endorsements that come along with winning the Gold medal.;)

    Well I wish gamboa got some of that gold medal love. I dont know if it was here or some other site, but i read he sold his gold medal just to throw his daughter a birthday party. Well at least the big bucks will be coming for him now.
