Sounds like a humble person with the right attitude. I wish him the best of luck with his career. He's a good boxer from what I've seen.

I understand most 10-0 fighters are, but with over 300 amatuer fights you might think twice.

I can't believe some people still have reserves about Gamboa, even if he were to lose an early fight, he'd still have his physical gifts and skill level and would rebound/learn quickly.

People comparing this to other rushed/overhyped fighters aren't assessing this guy correctly. You have a special talent here, very special, if he's able to harness that into an experienced style, Pacquaio and the other P4P'ers just won't be able to compare.

and people have to udnerstand that in cuba the trainers teach and worry more about skills than physical abilities, so this cat has both... thats scary. surely reminds everyone of roy jones.

I like his attitude. I think it will be very competitive if they make the fight the next 2 years. Gamboa was a matured man. He's not a teenager with 10 fights. If he Turned Pro in an early age, he'll probably a title holder already like Juan Diaz.

But he has to hurry up if he wants Pac. He needs to fight bigger names right away. I suggest he fights all the avoidable one like Raheem, Guzzy & JMM. Or try to travel to indonesia & beat Chris john by KO. That will really turn a lot of Heads.

Gamboa is the **** man. He sounds very honest and I like what he is saying right here. He knows he only has 10 fights but wants everyone to know that at his skill level he will take on anyone.

I don't think we have seen someone like Gamboa in some time.

Everyone keeps talking about more experience this and that, but I am not sure how much most he needs. A year maybe? He has been fighting for so long, I don't think rushing him is a bad idea.

Couldnt have put it better myself :good

While its known that I am already a Gamboa hugger (part of the Yuriorkism cult) I don't understand why people think he is still "too green" for challenges. Ok so he loses to Manny in his 12th pro fight, big deal, his career isn't over people! In fact it would teach him more than 10 wins over tomato cans. He is (potentially) a once in a lifetime fighter imo and I say cut him loose. I favor him over John and Valero RIGHT NOW. Not too sure about Pac, I have never really thought about that fight before cause Pac would never take it anyways
