126 is better for Gamboa who is kind of small

Thats why i kept saying that Khan vs Gamboa was not a realistic matchup

    Its a good move imo

I don't necessarily think its a bad one. I just worry that he will be weight-drained when the guy looks like he is 0% bodyfat at 130 (and shoots up to 140 on fight night while maintaining his tone). That extra 4 pounds could drain him down and make him lose some pop and speed......or the opposite :D

I'm assuming they know what their doing though so it should be fun to see Gamboa absolutely murder and toss around the feathers

Good to hear. Although it must be said that when he fought in the ams he was less muscled. Now with that extra muscle weight he might have to drain himself/lose every mg of fat on his body with some (slight)difficulties.

    Thoughts?

both John and Linares would probably beat Gamboa at this point.

This is a stupid move. All the big names is at 130 and 135 . . . who's at 126? Only Linares. :D

Cris John, the HOST Guerrero and Luevano are good competition but not elite fighters.

I don't entirely agree with this decision for the simple reason that the big money fights are at 135 right now and making a name at 130 is better, IMO, that making a name at 126. eventhough, if they only want to collect an abc belt at 126, then move up again at 130, then i guess it is all good

This move is similar to what Bernard Hopkins did when he started out his career with a couple of fights at LHW and decided to officially to stay at 160 and we all know the great legacy he had there so overall I think this is a good move on Gamboa's part and he is not going to stay there forever so all things shall work out.
