I think so ,too! Gamboa seems to be the one who doesnt stem from Cuba but from outer space. Barthelemy,Gomez, and Hernandez are very decent fighters, and Solis has the potential to be a heavy weight champ, but watching Gamboa is a feast for the eyes of any box aficionado out there. He is an outstanding talent who has the potential to be an all time great. He is probably the most talented fighters of all weight divisions at present.
Gamboa is defenitly a top if not the top prospect in boxing. He's been on an accelerated pace and came through terifficly, but Norwood, at this point inhis career, is nothing more than a name. He is actually a step down from Gamboa's previous opponent. The name will look good on his resume but won't tell us anymore than what we already know about Gamboa. Even though Norwood offers nothing more than a name for Gamboa its still a good fight for him to take. And being he has only 7 pro fights and has been pushed already, he can fight absolutely anyone he wants to in his next couple fights or two without any criticism. But most likely he'll be back on the fast track soon. Gamboa will dominate Norwood.
Norwood is no more than a journeyman class fighter nowadays - and a mediocre journeyman at that. It's quite sad actually, and there's actually every chance that one of Gamboa's past opponents are of a better quality. Norwood may be able to show some things Gamboa will have never seen before due to his experience, but that REALLY is it.
Norwood is a guy that defeated Juan Manuel Marquez. Of course that was years ago and he's now shot. Gamboa should win.
we'd all been blinded by the flashiness of this gamboa guy, we missed the real gem that is juanma lopez. what a prospect we say, well this guy is an old veteran with only a few years left in his timetable. juanma is the future.
