    Seconded.

The guy is shot, his heart doesn't appear to be in it anymore, and he seriously needs to retire from in-ring competition and find something else to do with his life at this point before he gets knocked out cold or badly damaged.

I guess he can back to Cuba. Not like the Castros to hold a grudge.

Did he get rocked, wobbled, staggered, hurt, or dropped in this one? Perhaps by innocuous jab or a by a little love tap that barely grazed his chin?

Inactivity, age, and his PED clinic getting busted did Gamboa in.

Too bad this guy didn't have the focus and hunger to maximize his exceptional talent. Watching him fight was like watching some clueless knucklehead trying to drive a souped up Mercedes.

Remember the first two/three rounds of Cotto vs Margarito I when Cotto was fighting stupidly, bouncing around pointlessly and holdings his gloves up after landing and showing off? To me Gamboa always fought in that same arrogant fashion ALL THE TIME.

Incidently for a guy with less than 30 fights I don't think any fighter has faced a more nationally diverse selection of opponents. Take a look at his list of opponents on Wikipedia; its like an introduction to the world's different flags, hahaha.

Hopefully this poor showing doesn't ruin our chances a Gamboa vs Juan Ma fight. That cake looks delicious.

He has the talent, the potential, but something went wrong. I think he went up in weight too quickly, he was never the same after that...................fighters do not need to go up in weight if they are not comfortable..................in fact, they shouldn't.................

    Two possibilities:

    1. The physical beating he took against Crawford lowered his ability to take a punch without getting KOD.

    2. The beating he took from Crawford is interfering with his training by screwing with his mind..

In chess the psychological effects of a loss does carry over into the next game by placing distracting doubt in the loser''s mind or making him gun-shy and overcautious in positions where aggression is required. So perhaps that also factors in after a defeat in boxing-especially if the defeat involves a checkmate equivalent via a KO as in Gamboa's case.

    BTW
Where does the name Yuriorkis come from? It isn't Latino. Is it Taino? Never heard it before.
