He does have exceptional speed but it's difficult to say if he is the fastest current fighter let alone of all time.

He may develop into one of the best P4P in the coming years, and instead of *******s and *****'s we'll have Gamblowers or something to that affect.

Gamboa Express, I agree Gamboa was a decorated amateur and Tyson didn't accomplish as much as he did in the amateurs. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. A young Iron Mike was about as skilled and talented as they come - he threw every punch in book and could knock you out with each one.

Look buddy, its not about age. Its about experience. The only thing I said about age is that right Gamboa is at hi peak. He is not a young boy that will be getting better and better. You are already putting Gamboa up there with Tyson. That is completely ridiculous. The young Mike Tyson was just extraordinary, as fast or faster than Gamboa but at heavyweight!!!!! Hammer in his hands!!!!! A head movement that made almost impossible to hit him. Tyson was something else. Gamboa is not even close. Period.

Again, I like Gamboa. I think he will be champion at least at 130lbs and 135lbs. But the nuthuggery is getting ridiculuos. I am starting to wonder what would happen if you are ever standing in front of Gamboa. Please do not try to get in his pants!!!

He doesn't have the head movement or Raw power of Tyson.

Yeah I forgot that one dream Tyson never got to accomplish. Tyson always wanted to be Cuba's national champion.

Mi amigo, Tyson was not that great. When he actually fought the stiff competition he was'nt that " great ". Yeah he was very fast and powerful but he also fought all bums up until his 17 or 18th fight ( you can see it on BoxRec ). To say that Tyson is faster than Gamboa is plain ridiculous, after all Tyson was a HV and Gamboa a featherweight. Gamboa not even close? :-(

Well mi amigo, up until now Gamboa has only fought " all winning opponents with winning records ", Tyson up until his 17 or 18th fight was fighting nobodies. Yes I give Tyson his credit for being a very good HV Champion. I like him a lot and wish Iron Mike the best but Gamboa will demonstrate that he is better in his weight class.

Take it easy bro, I can see that the word " Cuban boxer " gets you very upset. Why? If you are PR then you should be " backing up your brother Nation ", not hating on Cuba...

Well, not only you but every one will have to get used to hearing " Cuban boxer and Cuban Champion " from now on...

PS, I am not in love with Gamboa, I am just freaked out at his speed, power and technique. I am Cuban and I have'nt seen that type of raw talent in a boxer since Ariel Hernandez Azcuy of Cuba...

    Take care buddy... :good

Ricky, I have'nt forgotten about that list. I will have it soon as I am compiling all their records. You will see that the Cubans also have won Gold when they were 18, 19, 20 and 21!!!

You got to be in love to say the things you're saying bro, how the fuk you're gonna say that tyson wasnt good and didnt fight anybody and that gamboa has fought better competiton in his weight class.

Tyson was fighting profesional at 17 at the HW division, of course he didnt fight great competition to start,, gamboa became a pro at 25 he needed to go faster and still he hasnt fought anybody good just a bunch of journeymens. Gamboa fans need to stop this they're going overboard with this mofo. Every thread is about gamboa the faster, gamboa the best, gamboa this.. lets just agree that he has a lot of talent but he hasnt accomplished **** yet in boxing.. nothing

Gamboa is WBA featherweight Champ at just 14 pro fights! Did Tyson do that? NO...Gamboa is Olympic Champ, World Amateur Champ, did Tyson do that? CASE CLOSED.

Gamboa's first 17 pro fights have been against " all winning guys " with decent to pretty good records like 22-2 or 17-2 or 25-0 as for Tyson he fought all losers in his first 17 pro fights, don't believe me? Go to boxrec and check it out...

Granted, Tyson fought better opposition later in his career but I am comparing the early career of Yuriorkis with the early career of Tyson...

Ya trippin' with Gamboa. He's pretty good and I am a fan. But he is no and never will be an Iron Mike. Gamboa's one glaring weakness is his chin....he looks like he can be knocked out. He must continue to learn more patience, better balance, and little tighter defense. Tyson mastered everything in the book before he could legally drink ....not many boxers can claim that.

Shouldn't you also factor in that it took Gamboa 2 yrs 6 months to become World Champion but it only took Tyson 1yr 8 months?:think

Infact in two years 6 months Tyson had unified the HW division.
