He blew himself up to Lightweight, was brutally stopped by Crawford, in a fight that he was clearly not in good condition for, and has now not fought since November. He needs to be fighting more often now he is getting on in years, and get himself into a world title fight ASAP.

Is his career now over, at the age of 33, does he have anything left?

Pretty much this. Top Rank fighters get these people to start whispering in their ear about these promises but bottomline is you're fighting on an HBO platform against a stable of fighters. If you're not with TR, GB or Al haymon then you are on a lonely island. Pretty much where gamboa is now.

There are a lot of good promotional outfits. Dibella, Zanfer, Gym, Goosen etc.
SMS sidelined Gamboa, Dirrell and Kirkland.

So realistically he may fight once this year, against someone way below his level...that is how it is looking tbh, its now almost May and no fights in the works whatsoever.

i don't know about his difficulties in getting fights now, but i think he did about as well as any lightweight would have against Crawford.

Gamboa's career has been a huge disappointment. He's a tweener to. Too small for 135 and can't make 130 or 126.

Well to be fair to Gamboa and most of the guys he has, they thought they'd be working with Mayweather too and not just 50.

He is quickly on his way to becoming Alex Ramos.
