This should be a pretty decent scrap! I'll take Yuri by UD, but he may have some difficulty from the young Filipino.

Wow. No ones giving Bernabe a chance, huh?
Understandable, based off of his last performance. I have seen only 4-5 of his fights and think pretty highly of him. He's got respectable pop, good movement, and he's pretty damn quick himself. I just think Gamboa is more technically sound, and will box him effectively, outspeeding him rolling to a UD. I'm pretty sure Bernabe will get to him at points throughout the fight, making it a good fight.

Bottom line here should be that Gamboa's probably fighting a better opponent than he's faced so far, at least as far as credentials go. Good to see, although i also heard sounds from Gamboa's manager that he'll be fighting Mtagwa next, which would arguably be more interesting. Anyway, good to see Gamboa making moves.

You're right. I'm probably being too generous...Bernabe is the very mediocre. Nothing stands out about him at all.

Well guys, I know this fight is a few months from now but I will bump this thread for sure. I think lots of you guys will be surprised. Bernabe will make sure Yuri knows he was in a fight.

Honestly I think Mtagwa would have given him a stiffer test. Even though Concepcion is more skilled (and would himself most likely beat Mtagwa), he's simply unexceptional as someone else pointed out. He's not going to present anything that will make Gamboa as uncomfortable as an "on" Tiger would.

With the exception of Luevano, agreed his comp has sucked donkey balls. But I do see some underlying ability there. I just hope he puts a good fight instead of just standing there like last time.

I'm a fan of both. Not so much for either since they 1st came onto the scene but I still like what both guys can do.

I'm not sure Bernabe can handle a guy like Gamboa just yet but since he's a fellow Pinoy, I'm going to root for him.

This would be another scalp for Gamboa should he win, but if Bernabe were to pull this off, it would be HUGE for his career.
