I feel gamboa has the potential to be succesfull from 126-140 overtime. Time will tell, I just hope toprank matches his him up with some good fights.

Right, so for you it's not an upset I see ... I don't see Rios beating him.

Back and forth action which has the superior athlete facing the bigger guy. Both have power and i expect at least one KD. Brandon has a good pressure and he might stop Gamboa but i dont see Gamboa stopping Brandon.
Rooting for Gamboa but i dont really know what would happen in the end.

Gamboas my favorite fighter, I give him a chance at a decision here but in reality I think Rios KO's him. That's a crazy step up from featherweight to the best lightweight in the world aside from Marquez and the most powerful lightweight. Rios is a bad style matchup for Yuri as he can probably walk through his shots, Yuri would have to try to outbox him and play matador but I see him getting dragged into exchanges where Rios size and power is too much. Before fighting a guy like Rios he should test the waters at LW vs a few solid chinned pressure fighters.

Lets see how he does with Juanma first, he is a very live underdog, I was expecting a vote out against Ponce even thoI'm a HUGE fan of both ponce and gamboa, I couldn't h help but to root for ponce.

Rios by stoppage in the middle rounds.

Rios is too big and strong, too much pressure and would give Gamboa absolutley no room to do anything.

Ok and to answer your post, I'm going to say jumping two divisions art a point where rios is ready to move up will be too much for gamboa a and will get worked to a tko in 8 or 9

I don't see why Rios's mgmt would take this fight. This fight has more upside for Gamboa than Rios. Rios is only 5 lbs away from big fights with Khan, Maidana and maybe even Morales. If he loses to Gamboa, he can kiss goodbye to those matchups.

Brandon Rios has a lot of hard but Gamboa will KO him if he adjusts to 135 well enough

If his speed and power go up with him in weight, than he would beat Rios in a close decision. Gamboa would probably walk on ***** street at some point .
