Yuriorkis Gamboa Vs. Celestino Caballero Possibly In June!

Thing is I use to be a Juanma fan but his ducking of Caballero has made me dislike him very much. On top of that my friend sent me Juanma career set and I came to realize by watching his other fights that he isn't all that good. As a Puerto Rican I would like to support him but I just can't, it goes against my boxing morals to support him with his blatant ducking.

 

Juanma aint ducking anybody and for the people that dont know the whole story here it goes. Juanma wanted to fight caballero at the beggining of this year. Caballero was and is looking for a payday since he hasnt made any big purses even being a champion so i understand why he calls juanma out. Arum offered caballero 150thousand dollars to fight juanma this february but caballero said it wasnt enough. then caballero started talking a lot of trash and that pissed juanma off. So juanma and his people decided to move on and forget this clown and not do him any favors by giving him a fight. Juanma doesnt need caballero but caballero needs juanma. There're so many fights where juanma can make a lot of money and please the public, he can fight john, rojas, concepcion and gamboa so he doesnt need to go after the trash talking disrespectful caballero. If caballero wouldve handled himself like a professional and not like a little kid maybe he wouldve had his chance and payday already.

I think Gamboa is gonna streamroller both these guys. Would like to see Gamboa fight Chris John in time.

 

Again, PR's have had great champs over at the island, but we have them here too in the US. Where are your Cuban champs here. I understand being hungry and that is what is killing the HW division. Blacks dominated and now you have so many other sports to choose from. Really not much to think about. The Cubans are here now like Gamboa and co are doing well and we will see if they can meaure up to those fighters you listed.

 

Same for me, he's hiding behind the "I do what my promoter wants me to do" line. I remember when he was responding to Caballero's
videos, he said that he wanted to shut him up, ko his ass, etc, but after the Mtawa fight he hasn't even mentioned his name.

 

i dont think juanma is a chicken,i like him as matter of fact,but he is being handled very carefully...i believe he can take caballero down... but arum thinks is too much a risk and thats why he's been fighting lesser competition...only with mtagwa thinks got a lit scary but i always said juanma was struggling at 122 and he should do better at 126,even 130.

 

BRING CABALLERO ON !!! I really hope this fight happens, Yuriorkis will teach Celestino what boxing is all about, Caballero is good but against " El Ciclon de Guantanamo " game is over... :hey

 

You said that as a joke but in reality is true, except the God part... Yuriorkis is just " unbeatable "... Bring whoever on, Lopez, John, Caballero etc, they will all go down...

 

Caballero has NO CHANCE...

 

we'll see i'm not a fan of caballero i feel he's too akward and doesnt throw nice crips combinations, maybe is his height.. but at the same time he's 5'11" and gamboa is 5'3" that's a big advantage in height and reach for caballero.. if gamboa can get inside he should be able to knockout the stick

it is good to see a rican who is not blinded by his flag. juanma is not acting like the true great puerto rican fighters who came before him who ran towards the tough challenges and not from them. from ortiz to cotto and all in between accomplished greatness in the game of boxing, and never made excuses for not fighting someone. juanma has done jack ****, and is acting as if he is an atg who has no need to prove himself.

there is no reason for gamboa to be the one fighting celestino, when i am damn sure most boxing fans if given the choice, would want to see cc and juanma. but it looks as if the bobfather has put juanma into p.c.

don't sell celestino short. this is going to be one good fight. gamboa is definitely the real deal, but there is alot to be said for experience and size.

 

A unknown African fighter whom he didn't have too much of a size advantage over.. and had an issue making weight for that fight...

These 2 were suppose to fight last year.. Good thing it may happen this year... Celestino will make it tough...

 

but if not for communism that same cuban talent wouldn't have been so developed in the first place

 

caballero's height if he can use it effectively can get juanma and gamboa into a lot of trouble
