I am Boricua as most of you already know, and I defend my fighters and take a lot of slack for it. I was thought that Boricuas stick together and stick up for one another, thats how we are, it's part of our culture....furthermore it's human nature for people of all creeds, colors and nations

I am going to be honest with you all:

Look, Gamboa is the most talented boxer I have ever seen live, hands down! I have seen him twice. he has mike tyson in his prime type of talent, just explosive and over whelming. But who the **** has he beaten?

Having said that he has to be the favorite over Juanam and Caballero, but can he beat a Juanma or a Caballero we dont know that yet! These guys are true world class fighter, both much slower than Gamboa, but speed and talent dont always win fights. It does 75% of the time if both fighter are equally proven. But Juanma and Caballero are far more seasoned than Gamboa and as great as he looks and i have seen it with my own eyes in boxing when you step up you stop looking like that in a hurry. The ones that can still look like that against the Juanmas and Caballero's or in mikes case Michael Spinks and Larry Holmes are considered greats. Gamboa has a chance to be great but he is not there yet lets not dilude ourselves.

That is not what he said. Before you send someone to educate themselves you should try to understand the comments. Of course Cuba had champions before Castro. But the success of the amateur boxing program is based on the communist system. Without many other opportunities, boxing is a great opportunity to feed your family in Cuba.

You should go see more live boxing then. Even among cuban boxers, I don't think Gamboa is the most talented. But I think he is the most disciplined and motivated. And that will take him far. Also, the competition doesn't look to bad at that weight. Let's see how long he can stay there. I wish the best to my homeboy Juanma. But Gamboa is also a great guy, and I hope he becomes a star.

    Excellent fight

Very difficult fight for Gamboa a big step up in class. Cabellero is as awkward as they come. Gamboa's speed should be the difference but it will be a close fight. One of the best fights that can be made at any weight. I hope it comes off.

I want to post this for Cubans and Puerto Ricans. So you don't for get the history

    ¡Vuestros dioses tutelares
Han de ser también los míos!
    Vuestras palmas, vuestros ríos
    repetirán mis cantares...
    Culto rindo a estos hogares
    Donde ni estorba ni aterra
    El duro brazo que cierra
    Del hombre los horizontes...
    ¡Yo cantaré en estos montes
    Como cantaba en mi tierra!

    Cuba y Puerto Rico son
De un pájaro las dos alas,
    Reciben flores y balas
    Sobre el mismo corazón...
¡Qué mucho si en la ilusión
    Qué mil tintes arrebola,
    Sueña la musa de Lola
    Con ferviente fantasía,
¡De esta tierra y la mía,
    Hacer una patria sola!

Le basta al ave una rama
    Para formar blando lecho:
    Bajo su rústico techo
    ¡Es dichosa porque ama!
Todo el que en amor se inflama
Calma en breve su hondo anhelo:
    Y yo plegando mi vuelo,
Como el ave en la enramada,
    Canto feliz, Cuba amada,
¡Tu mar, tu campo y tu cielo!

Nice! Siempre hay carino para nuestros hermanos Cubanos...ahora para los Diminicanos....no estoy seguro...Just ****ing with yall DR we should definitely support and love each other more....and we Boricuas can be loud and annoying as hell just remember:

    Cuba poplutation 12 Million
Mexico population 110 Million + US residents ?
    Phillipines 96 Million
    United States 304 Million
    United Kingdom 61 Million

Puerto Rico 4 Million + US residents maybe 1.5 Million more

We are just a few people in comparison to these other great boxing nations, yet we have are third on the list of World Champs produced behind the US and Mexico two of the great nations of the world (correct me if i am wrong here) A tiny island 150 miles long by 30 Miles wide....in essence it is the greatest island nation, colony, us property or whatever you want to calls us in this whole wide world when it comes to boxing... P4P the most boxing talent on the planet ever ....

Gamboa takes this, hes a league above the other guys around that weight IMO.

I dont mind if Caballero is not fighting Juanma, as long as its either Rigo or Gamboa its all good.

This fight won't be happening. Caballero actually has a legit shot at winning. Arum is not going to put Gamboa in there with a live guy that isn't a Top Rank fighter and isn't a big draw. We already know Top Rank is scared shitless of putting JuanMa in there with Caballero, so what happens if Cab wins?

I dont have anything against puertorricans.it bothers me when someone ignores how cubans dont have the oportunity to try themselves as professionals,or at least have the option of choosing pro without being called traitors.Like some puertorricane said in another thread calling heroes the one who choose to stay and dedicate his medals to Castro. Its pure BS to me.
I have business with a good friend who is boricua and most of the time watch boxing together.
