I'll go with Gamboa TKO mid-rounds.

    Simply more talented.

Interestingly, this fight may happen in the near future. :good

john does not have the power to hurt gamboa so i think gamboa will win a decision.

Gamboa would interupt John's flow and either win by TKO or wide UD.

    Chris John by KO.

Gamboa is getting knocked down every fight by off-duty police officers, bus drivers and schoolteachers. The dragon would spark him.

I think I have to agree with this. As much as I like Gamboa, his chin is betraying him at lower competitions and at a higher level, his chin won't save him anymore.

If gamboa doesn't get tagged and dropped he wins a decision.

If he does get dropped he loses a decision.

I don't see a KO happening for either man.

you're out your mind, Gamboa's has been dropped by bums, and you dont think an Elite fighter like John can hurt him?, anyone who even gives Gamboa a chance in this fight is insane IMO, sure he has power but, John can take a great shot, and he'd be far too slick for Gamboa, i would say he'd get schooled, but with Gamboa's chin, he might just get put away early

and dont try and give me that "oh well, he was dropped but never really hurt" cuzz if you're getting dropped that much against bums, then your chins suspect and John was expose it

i doubt he could even beat Juarez, much less John

I'd take John by UD if not a late stoppage.
I like Gamboa he is defo fun to watch, But thus far has not fought
anyone close to the comp that would be a Chris John.
    (Until then, CJ)

    The Dragon vs. El Ciclon?

    Someone wins a close decision.

50-50 fight due to the variables.

But I'd say John by decision. Although he might be dropped on the way, he seems to be able to take a good shot. Likewise for Gamboa.

I know Boxrec is often wrong but it lists the April fight with Rojas as being for the vacant WBA title....does that mean John has been stripped, or is it for the interim strap?

i think gamboa will win only by decision, coz john is a slick fighter.
